About SC Fundraisers How we Got Started Silver Cup Coffee has been roasting award-winning coffee since 1995, but we have always chosen to keep our secret blends under the radar of the retail world, selling primarily to independent espresso retailers. Fundraising came to us like most of our innovations: there was a need! Our IT manager s wife, a local coach, was lamenting the difficulty of finding a product that was profitable, but not embarrassing for her high-school basketball players to sell (does anyone really want another candy bar?) Bummer, we all responded, sounds like a predicament But then, we thought, everyone drinks coffee! So we developed a private label for the team, made some matching sales packets, and sent them off into the wide world. To our astonishment, the new team outsold even our most generous predictions, and raised $2000 for their team in only a week. A new department was born... Why Silver Cup Fundraisers Work Silver Cup Coffee fundraisers are nearly perfect. Students sell a 12 ounce bag of our truly fantastic gourmet blends for about the same price a customer would spend in the grocery store. But it is fresh roasted, private labeled*, and they get to support their son, daughter, nephew, niece, neighbor... and the organization keeps half of the income! When you work with Silver Cup Coffee, you are working with a small, family-owned company, not another corporate giant. That means we can do things your way. Fundraising Products Blends and Flavored Coffees Our award winning blends and delicious flavored coffee in a 12-ounce bag (grocery store size). We offer a medium house blend, a french roast, and a swiss-water processed decaf. Flavored coffees are available in French Vanilla, Cinnamon Hazelnut, and Irish Cream. Cappuccino and Chai Powders Yum! These delicious powders are so easy - just blend with hot water or milk. Available in the following flavors: French Vanilla Cappuccino, Turtle Sundae Cappuccino, and Spicy Chai Tea (a great option for the noncoffee drinker). Coffee gift packs A perfect way to try all 3 of our award-winning blends, or give a friend the gift of gourmet coffee. Gift packs include 3 1.5 ounce packs of our House Blend (medium roast), French Roast (dark roast), and our Moka Java (a mild specialty blend).

Program Options We offer several program options for you to choose from and combine to create the most successful fundraising program for your group. Below is a list of each of the program options and how they work. Pre-Sale A pre-sale is the standard fundraising option for most groups. Sign up and order/print your groups sales packets (these can be stock sales packets or private labeled for your organization, see private labeled options for more information). You group then determines a sales period (one to two weeks is standard) and hands out your sales packets to team members. Team members then take orders from family and friends during the designated sales period, and return the sales forms to the fundraising coordinator. The fundraising coordinator then calculates the total, and places a group order on our online group order form. Your group will receive your order in 2-3 weeks from the date of submission. Product In-Hand Sale Sometimes, groups like to place a pre-order so that participants can have the product available right when their customer is purchasing it. This method works great for groups who would like to sell outside grocery stores or at sporting events, for example. The disadvantage of this method is that a group may end up with leftover coffee if the group does not sell their entire order. This cuts into the amount of profit a group will earn. Online Sale Every group who runs an SC Gourmet Coffee Fundraiser will also have the option to run a concurrent online sale. Our web site allows individuals who are out of state to support their organization by ordering coffee online and have it shipped directly to them. When you sign up for an SC fundraiser, we will send you an email template that you can use to describe your fundraiser for out of state family and friends. The template will include a link to an online order form for individuals. There, they will be able to select the fundraising group they would like to support and place and order for coffee. Due to shipping and order processing costs, please keep in mind that your group will make less per bag, but reach more people more often, thereby increasing your overall fundraiser profit. Groups who do not wish to conduct a pre-sale or purchase a group pre-order are welcome to use just the online sale. Recurring Individual Order Along with a pre-sale or group pre-order, groups can take advantage of a year-round earning opportunity. Each time one of your customer s purchases coffee on our web site and selects your group, you will receive $2. For example, if your group has 50 customers who order 2 bags per month, your group will receive a check for $600 each quarter! Recurring Group Orders Some fundraising coordinators love the idea of recurring individual orders, but would like to retain the 50% profit. In order to do this, fundraising coordinators are welcome to take reccuring orders from their customers, and then place orders (with a minimum order of 50 bags) with Silver Cup. Group leaders sometimes find it helpful to take orders on a subscription basis. Customers place a standing monthly order, and the group leader places an order with Silver Cup Coffee each month.

Private Label Options SC Gourmet Coffee Fundraisers offer all groups a free private label and sales packet option. However, to receive your private label for free, your group must meet a minimum order requirement of 200 units. If your group has 20 participants, that means that they would need to sell 10 bags each to meet the minimum (pretty easy!). If your group does not reach the 200-unit minimum, a small fee of $75 will be added to your invoice for design and printing. In order to create a private label for your group, we will need the following: - Logo - Team Colors - Any design specifications you may have - Any specific wording you would like on your sales packet If a member of your group is a graphic designer and would like to design a label for your group, they are welcome to do so. Please see the Design Specifications section for specific information. Design Specifications All private labels must meet the following standards: - PDF Format - 3 inches wide by 4 inches tall - Labels must have a.25 inch bleed for the printer Please email your completed private label to sales@silvercupcoffee.com.

Sign-up Form Fundraising Tips Make sure your team members know why they are selling.give team-members an overview of how their efforts will affect them and their friends. Give your team members an individual and group goal Make sure your team members know how much you expect each of them to sell. You will find that most team members will do what is expected of them. Some will fall far below expectations, and some will go above and beyond. But if you want to ensure you reach your group goal, make sure each team member knows exactly what is expected of them. Make suggestions Suggest team members sell to: Parents, Grandparents, Aunts and Uncles, Coworkers, Neighbors, Family Friends, Teachers, Church members, and Coaches If so, what program will you run concurrently? Addional comments or instructions: Use positive reinforcement Offer prizes and recognition for the highest seller Offer a group prize if the group meets the goal Create competitions between classes, grades, or teams (girls and boys basketball or C-Team vs. Junior Varsity, etc.) Be Creative! Think about what would really motivate your group. Make sure students are well-informed. Be sure to explain pricing and product quality to students. Some groups prefer to have a script or outline of information for students to use when explaining the product.
