BASIC RULES A match is played - best 3 out of 5 games For each game, the first player has to reach 11 points to win A point is scored for each successful rally You must get the ball in your opponent s half The edges of the table count but the sides do not The ball must not touch the posts or net, or the rally will be a let (no point for either team) HOW TO SERVE The ball must rest on an open hand palm. The ball must be thrown at least 6 inches up and hit so the ball first bounces on the server s side and then the opponents side. If the serve is legal except that it touches the net, it is called a let serve. When there is a let serve you replay the point.
