The moon is also the brightest at this time of the year, which is why the legend of Chang Er has always been attached to this celebration. Chang Er was the wife of a remarkable archer, Hou Yi, who shot down nine out of ten suns in the sky, saving the people and crops on Earth from getting burnt. Legend goes that Chang Er downed the elixir of immortality bestowed to her husband, to prevent it from being stolen. She ascended to the moon after that, and has been worshipped by the Chinese as the Moon Goddess ever since. MINI Custard Lava WITH VANILLA The Mini Custard Lava with Vanilla mooncake comprises a palatable combination of salted egg yolk and vanilla.
