WELCOME TO TRICO CENTRE SUMMER We have a large variety of half day and full day camps to choose from, for everyone from the active child to the artistic child. Our programs are designed to be quality-based, well rounded, educational, reasonably priced and most of all SAFE and FUN. Trico Centre is proud of our day camp tradition of providing a safe and high quality camp experience. CHILD/STAFF RATIOS To ensure the best experience and safety for your child our ratios are as follows: Preschool Camps (3-6 yreas) 1:8, 16 children max in each camp. Youth Camps (6 years+) 1:15, camp maximums are determined by camp activity and space. Each camp has 1-2 leaders and a trained volunteer. Our carefully selected, energetic leaders have practical and educational experience and go through a training program prior to the summer. All of our leaders are certified in First Aid/CPR, High Five Training and have a current Police Security Clearance. Trico Centre day camp leaders and volunteers strive to be a friend, mentor, and role model to all of our campers. FORMS AND WAIVERS When you register online or through guest services for day camps you will be asked a number of questions about your child which will stay on your Trico Centre Family Account for future registrations so you can update it annually. Please fill out each prompt completely and accurately for each child. This is also a good time to ensure your primary contact information is correct as we communicate through email during the summer. The more information you provide to us about your child the more we can ensure your child has a positive and fun experience at our day camps. If your child has any medication you must submit a medical form with instructions. By registering you acknowledge and agree to our Day Camp Participant waiver. FIRST DAY CHECK-IN You will receive an email the Friday prior to camp with information on the camp drop-off location. A daycamp supervisor will be available for assistance at the front doors. PICK UP All youth camps (6 years+) will end their day at 4:00pm outside in the soccer fields by the green door entrance. All preschool Camps (3-6yrs) will end their day at 12:00pm or 4:00pm in their allocated room inside the building. When picking up your child you will be asked to provide Photo ID, no exceptions. Any children not picked up by 4:00pm will be registered into our extra Late Care Supervision, additional fees apply. EXTRA SUPERVISION Camp hours are 9:00am-4:00pm. Trico Centre offers extra supervision outside of these hours and will be located in the gymnasium. Please register for supervision times separately.
