Fellow Members, It s hard to believe Thanksgiving is less than a month away. Reflecting on this past year, we have much to be thankful for. I am thankful for our thoughtful and caring staff and management team who make the club such a special place in our community. I am thankful for our volunteer board and committee members who help manage and promote our club. I am thankful for the loyal members who contribute their time, labor and money to continue to improve our facilities over and above what the club s normal operating budget will allow. And, I am also thankful for all the great memories I have at the club. Let the club help you plan your next event or celebration and make your own special memories with family and friends. As always, please let us know if we can do anything to improve your experience at the club. We welcome your ideas, thoughts and concerns. Rod Isaacs Board President
Clubhouse News I hope everyone with children enjoyed their fall break last month. Just a few more weeks of school and you guessed it, Christmas break will be upon us! It is hard to believe how quickly the year has gone by, and that the holidays are just around the corner. The new menu has been well received by everyone so far. If you haven t been in since it started, I hope you will make plans to come soon and discover your new favorite. If you have enjoyed one of the new entrees, there are several so be sure to try them all! There are two Friday nights that will feature entertainment this month. On the 10th we will have the Fall Music Lounge in the bar, with soft seating, music and dancing. A special bar food menu will be available, and the full menu will be available in the dining room. There is a $10 per person entertainment fee for this event. Then on Friday night the 17th Tim Kellar returns to the bar with his entertaining style of music, and the dinner special will be prime rib. Tim has played here many times, and is always enjoyed by all, so please make plans to join your friends for one or both nights of entertainment, food and comradery. Join us for the annual Thanksgiving Buffet served 11 am until 2 pm in the ballroom. There will be a hearty offering of a variety of foods, and as I always say, cleanup will be a breeze! Bring the family out and join us for this delicious buffet by making reservations at 586-1941. This is the only food service available on this day, and the clubhouse will close at 3:00 pm in order for the employees to enjoy time with their families. There are still some weekday dates available for Christmas parties here at the Club if you or anyone you know is interested in having a gathering during the holidays. Call Bri and let her help you plan the perfect event for friends, family or the office. I wish for everyone a warm and enjoyable Thanksgiving with family and friends; the ones we should be the most thankful for. Wally 4245
