The spice is right, in balance with the fruit and toasty oak. The elegant tannins give the finish a gratifying end to the harmony of fruits and wood. Château Lestage Chevillon Medoc-2010 Elegant black fruits, delicate oak. Rich, supple, concentrated, with finesse and subtlety. Light tannins, ample acidity. Lots of wood now but shows excellent structure. Rated 90 Points - James Suckling Château Le Baron de Malleret Haut-Médoc-2010 (not pictured) This fruit-forward, medium to full-bodied wine overachieves as a Cru Bourgeois. It is a blend of 46% Merlot, 37% Cabernet Sauvignon and the rest is Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot and a dollop of Carmenere. It offers up blue fruits and raspberry along with a floral note, and has medium body as well as a nicely textured mouth-feel. Robert Parker s - Wine Advocate La Fleur de Haut Bages Liberal Pauillac-2012 The second wine of Haut-Bages Liberal and a blend of 80% Cabernet Sauvignon, 17% Merlot and 3% Petit Verdot. Generally the grapes come from younger vines, 15 years old rather than 30 years old, and the wine spends about a year in barrel. Fresher and lighter in style, it still has the classic hallmarks of Pauillac and Haut-Bages Liberal: elegance, ripeness and fine tannins.
Château Petit Roubie Picpoul de Pinet-2014 Picpoul de Pinet is the oldest grape variety grown in the Languedoc. It is extremely lean and fresh and complements seafood really well because the natural acid counterbalances the saltiness perfectly. Green melons and lemon and lime zest make this wine a brilliant alternative to Pinot Grigio or Sauvignon Blanc. Crápula Gold Jumilla 2013-Spain Powerful blackberry aromas are matched by creamy oak. This Monastrell-Syrah blend is a driller, with strong tannins and more than enough body weight. Oaky flavors of dark-berry fruits and black plums finish with vanilla and lactic notes. This is rock solid from head to toe Rated 91 Points - Wine Enthusiast Chateau Cornut Costieres de Nimes Rosé-2015 This dry rosé from Château Cornut displays ripe raspberry and strawberry. It is distinguished by its polished, savory texture and a full, rich finish. The wine is aged in stainless steel and cement. Château Cornut Cuvée Prestige Rouge-2013 Sourced from vines that are 50 years old or more, the Cuvée Prestige is powerful and dense. Notes of raspberry, plums, straw, and stones appear on the palate. There is a great balance throughout.
Domaine Palon s Gigondas 2014 Domaine Palon s Gigondas is an elegant wine that typifies focus and precision. The restrained power in this wine allows it to showcase its complex soil components as much as its juicy, ripe briary fruit and garrigue flavors. Guillaume Gonnet Chateauneuf-du-Pape Bel Ami-2013 This special cuvée from Guillaume Gonnet boasts a beautiful ruby red color. It leads with beautiful notes of spicy ripe cherries, lavender, and rosemary. This wine is plush and ripe, with hints of roasted chestnuts on the mid-palate. A fitting conclusion, the finish is powerful and dense. Pierre Andre Hautes Cotes de Nuits Beauversant Rouge-2013 A bright ruby red in color, with aromas of blackcurrant, cherry and cinnamon on the nose. The palate is smooth and dry with notes of black fruits with licorice, cinnamon and cloves from well integrated oak ageing. The mid palate also gives notes of earth and forest floor, distinctive characteristics of a Hautes Côtes de Nuits. Well structured, this elegant lingers on the mouth for a sweet yet spicy finish. Pierre Andre-Bourgogne Chardonnay Reserve-2014 A delightful nose of lemon, honeysuckle and flint with flavors of dried fruits, white peaches and citrus. Well made, cool and a polish of marble in the finish. Enjoy this Chardonnay with soft cheeses, grilled calamari over a bed of field greens or a fresh cucumber-tomato salad with a blue cheese dressing.
