TEKWENI FOODS manufactures more than 350 different food products. We are essentially powder blenders, and manufacture dry products. We manufacture an entire range of sweet and savoury premixes for: Restaurants, Catering Facilities, Mines, Correctional Services, Defence Force, Hospitals, Schools, Industrial Catering, Bakeries and Delis. BASIC PRODUCTS Viva Soups These soups are available in 5 exciting flavours such as Rich Beef, Oxtail, Spicy Mutton, Chilli Beef and Chakalaka. This 500g sachet of soup is equivalent to 30 x 200ml servings. This soup can be used to enhance the flavour and thicken stews or any meaty dish. Packaged in 20 x 500g per carton. 2
Soup Powders There are 4 different products ranges within our soup powders, namely Econo Soup, Viva Soup; Quality Soup and Superior Soup. These range from economical soups to top quality soups for the formal catering industry. Each variant comes in a variety of exciting flavours to suit all taste buds. Cooking time is 5 to 10 minutes, saving both time and money. These soups can be consumed on their own or used as a base to flavour and thicken stews, as well as used for gravy's or sauces. Flavours: Beef, Chilli Beef, Beef & Onion, Hearty Beef, Brown Onion, Oxtail, Mutton, Chicken, Chakalaka, Curry, Vegetable, Tomato, Mushroom. Viva Soya Mince Our new 500g range of Viva Soya Mince not only has improved packaging, but we have also improved on the recipe. This soya mince has more flavours added to give that real meaty taste. This great tasting product comes in 5 different flavours. These include Spicy Beef, Chilli Beef, Mutton, Chakalaka and Oxtail. Each 500g sachet makes the equivalent of 2kgs of mincemeat which equates to 13 to 16 servings. Viva Soya Mince does not contain any rice which tends to separate and burn on the pan. Viva Soya Mince is ideal for vegetarians as it does not contain any animal fats or animal byproducts. Packaged in 20 x 500g per carton. Stews & Minces There are 4 different ranges, namely Breakfast Stews, Viva Soya Mince, Econo Soya Mince and Value Soya Mince. All these products contain T.V.P (Texturized Vegetable Protein (Soy)), dehydrated vegetables and thickening agents. All our stews contain rice which makes them very cost effective. The Viva Soya Mince, Econo Soya Mince and Value Soya Mince do not contain any rice but are often used as Meat Extenders. They can be consumed on their own, with bread, phutu samp or rice. Gravy Powders All our gravy powders are flavoured and have excellent thickening and colouring properties to add flavour and colouring to any meaty dish. These gravy powders can be used in conjunction with excess meat or chicken juices from the roasting pan to make tasty gravy. Flavours: Beef, Mutton, Chicken. Yield: 1kg to 12 litres water. Granular Stocks These products contain a high concentration of flavour, but unlike the concentrates, do not have a thickening effect. These products have the same application as stock cubes, but because it is in granular form, the desired quantity can be added to the required flavour. Flavours: Beef, Chicken & Mutton Viva Spice Bowls Our quality Spice Bowls come in six delicious flavours. These spice flavours include Chicken, Mutton, Barbeque, Original, Chilli Beef and Steak & Chops. Sprinkle Viva Spice on your favourite meat at a braai or spice up your stews. Our spices are packed into 400g L.D.P.E. sachets and then packed into a bowl. 5

Flavours: Mutton, Portuguese, Steak, Worcester Spice-O-Mat A popular condiment powder to sprinkle over eggs, meat, poultry or even popcorn BatterMix Our BatterMix is the ideal coating for fish, poultry or meat. For that golden brown crispiness, just mix our BatterMix with milk or water to the correct consistency and deep fry. Dilution: 1kg to 750ml water. 6
Isotonic Fluid Replacement Drinks Our Isotonic Fluid Replacement Drinks has been specifically formulated to enhance fluid replacement in a heavy physical environment and thereby prevent dehydration. This product contains a broad spectrum of complex carbohydrates for sustained energy release to enhance performance. This advanced formula also contains electrolytes and minerals such as Sodium, Calcium, Magnesium and Potassium, which assist in fluid retention. These products contain no preservatives and are available in 5 flavours. Flavours: Orange, Naartjie, Grape, Granadilla, Wild Berry. Yield: 1kg to 10 litres water. Cooldrink Powders Tekweni Foods manufacture a large range of Cooldrink Powders. The main difference in the range is the dilution ratios. The first range is the 1kg of product to 10 litres of water. The next range is the 1kg to 15 litres dilution. We also have more concentrated cooldrink powders of 1:30 ratio and 1:45 ratio. Artificial sweeteners are used in the products to enhance the sweetness of sugar, but do no leave an after taste. These cooldrinks are extremely cost effective once diluted and are Vitamin C enriched and contain Glucose. None of the cooldrink powders contain preservatives which makes them extremely healthy and it is important to note that most of the flavours we use are nature identical. The range of cooldrink powders consist of 14 fruity flavours. Flavours: Orange, Cocopine, Tropical Fruit, Lemon, Strawberry, Peach, Peach & Apricot, Raspberry, Lime, Cream Soda, Granadilla, Guava, & Naartjie. Yield: 1:10; 1:15; 1:30; 1:45; 1:250 7
Real Dairy, Milk Blends & Creamers All these products are manufactured from Real Dairy Products such as Skim milk, Full Cream milk and Sweet Whey powder. 1) Full Cream Milk- This product has a protein content of 26% and a fat content of 26%. 2) Skim Milk- Skim Milk has a protein content of 36% and a fat content of less than 2%. Both the above mentioned products can be packed into various size packaging depending on the customer's requirements. Creamers are available in 3 variants depending on required fat content. These are 20%, 24% and 30% fat content. Our Milk / Whey blends have been specially formulated as per Government Specifications. Chocolate Drink Our complete range of chocolate drinks include cocoa powder, sugar, milk solids and flavours. These products can be mixed using only water which makes them very economical. Milk or a combination of milk & water can also be used in order to enhance flavour. Chocolate drinks can be enjoyed hot or cold. Ice cream can also be used to make double thick milkshakes. The Midrange chocolate drink has a high concentration of cocoa powder and milk solids. The mixing ratio of this product is 1kg to 12 litres of milk or water. 8
Custard Powders Our Vanilla Custard powder comes in 2 variants. The first of our Custard Powders contains both sugar and milk solids. This custard can be mixed with water or milk or a combination of both to enhance the product. The mixing ratio is 1kg to 5 litres of water or milk. The second variant contains no sugar or milk solids. The mixing of this custard is 600g of custard powder with 400g of sugar and then added to 5 litres of milk. Jellies Our jellies are available in 6 tasty flavours. These flavours include Greengage; Pineapple; Strawberry; Raspberry; Lime; Lemon and Orange. The gelatine that we use does carry the Halaal Status. All our jellies are Vitamin C enriched. The mixing ratio of our jelly is 1kg to 4.5 litres of water.
