ABOUT EXPO DRINK & WINE Wines, alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages trade show The 20 th edition of EXPO DRINK & WINE trade fair in the field of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in Romania, will take place between the 25 th 29 th of October 2017, within Romexpo Central Hall. In the same period, other 2 events with complementary thematic will take place at Romexpo Exhibition Centre: INDAGRA International trade fair of equipment and products in agriculture, horticulture, viticulture and animal husbandry, INDAGRA FOOD & CARNEXPO International trade fair for the food industry. Having as main goal to support the alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages industry, EXPO DRINK & WINE is the meeting place for professionals in the alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages industry, offering them the possibility to interact, for five days, in a professional environment. Within the trade fair, the exhibiting companies have the possibility to launch new products and equipment, to organize tastings, competitions and demonstrations, into a dedicated location with a specialized audience.

MARKET A KeysFin analysis shows that after more than 10 year of contradictions and wars with the black market, the wine sector has grow up. In Romania, the alcoholics market is estimated at 700 million euros and is a mixture of traditional domestic products and internationally renowned brands. The market began to develop in the early 1990 s, when local producers began to diversify their portfolio, and newly established distribution companies stimulating the import of spirits. Even if is a disputed category, energizers continue to grow faster than other segments of the soft drinks market, marking an increase of 16% in volume and 17% in value, between october 2015 and september 2016, according to data of Retail Audit Nielsen, at the level of the entire Romanian trade. In Romania there an over 500 companies active in the production of non-alcoholic soft drinks, the production of mineral waters and other bottled waters, buy only 330 have a turnover higher than zero. Their cumulated business amounts to 4,7 billion ROL (over 1 billion euros), according to a ZF analysis based on data form the Ministry of Finance. For the 100% natural juice segment there is a recovery starting in 2016 after the decline recorded in recent years, with the premises for a further upward trend. According to the National Mineral Waters Society the mineral water consumption in Romania is 50-60 l per person, compared to 100-105 l per person, The European average, higher in the urban environment. Romanian s prefer in overwhelming percentage (99%), domestic brands of natural mineral water, comparing with the import brands, based on a competitive price and favorite pack as 2 L PET.
