Calling All Cajuns 2 Hello Everyone, Letter from the President The Acadian Memorial has reopened!!! The doors opened with a ribbon cutting ceremony that also opened the Acadian Memorial Heritage Festival. The good weather brought out hungry crowds that enjoyed the food, the activities, and the great music. Dr. Michael Martin, Director of the Center for Louisiana Studies is joining the Acadian Memorial Foundation for its Annual Meeting and election of Board Members on June 21 at 4pm. Dr. Martin will talk about some of the latest research related to the expulsion and arrival of the Acadians. Join us! The Memorial will host the Day of Commemoration July 28 th. L Ordre du bons temps will be November 9 th this year and it looks to be another culinary adventure. The flood of last August is not forgotten and repairs continue on the Cultural Center next door to the Memorial. Our continued thoughts and prayers for those in our community who are still dealing with the after effects of the damaging waters. Thanks to everyone who made it a wonderful Festival!!!
