Åge Folkestad He was born in the town of Âlesund in Norway. After finishing his studies at the University of Bergen he worked as a teacher until one day he decided to change his life completely by moving to Spain. He came to Altea in Alicante and opened Casa Vital, a small restaurant with 11 chairs and 5 tables in the year 2000. In 2010, Åge presented its first three signature wines with Vino Casa Vital with great success. Over the years, both his restaurant and his wine project Vino Casa Vital have grown. Vino Casa Vital Love and passion for Spanish wines. Vino Casa Vital is an artistic project where Age collaborates with two different wineries to make signatur wines each year for the national market and for export. Bodega Santa Margarita in Tierra Castilla A cooperation with the two brothers Andrés Martinez and the winemaker Lorenzo Martinez. Bodega Antonio Alcaraz in Rioja Alavesa A cooperation with his partner Antonio Alcaraz and the winemaker Iker Unzalu. Azul Mediterráneo In 2015 he presented his new project Azul Mediterráneo - The Blue Revolution with great success. Azul Mediterráneo has revolutionized the world of wine, but not yet classified as wine. Its base is 99,99999 white wine, where the colour comes from the anthocyan of the skin of the red grape, which gives it this bright blue colour. Azul Mediterráneo is dedicated to the Mediterranean Sea for its turquoise blue colour.
BODEGA SANTA MARGARITA Castilla La Mancha Tierra de Castilla The project Vino Casa Vital started in 2010 with a cooperation with Åge Folkestad, the two brothers from Bodega Santa Margarita: Andrés and Lorenzo Martinez, and the Norwegian artist Roald Tellnes. Roald Tellnes is an well known artist (painter) in Norway, and he has had several art exhibition in Norway, Spain, USA, Japan and China. I challenged him to make some samples for the wine labels, and in 2011 we presented the first white, rosé and red wines from Bodega Santa Margarita. The wines are the fruits of friendship with the same goal: to make wine with expression.

LA RIOJA ALAVESA The cooperation with Bodega Antonio Alcaraz started as a friendship with Antonio Alcaraz and Iker Unzalu and his family in 2014. Iker and his family have been winemakers for generations in Rioja. Its a medium small winery in the heart of Rioja Alavesa, right below the mountains of Sierra Cantabria, which gives them all the good minerals from melting of the snow. The soil is rich in minerals and all the wines have a high quality. A great number of the wines are among the 100 best wines in Spain and with more than 90 points from Robert Parker.

A tasteful tribute to the Mediterranean Sea. Made of chardonnay, muscatel and verdejo grapes, it gains its color thanks to a natural pigment called anthocyanin rich in antioxidants, typical of the skin of blue grapes. Azul Mediterráneo is also a toast to the pleasant and healthy Mediterranean lifestyle. The grapes are harvested at the beginning of autumn, at night, so they are cold and remain juicy.
