It was matured in 70% new oak, which has lifted the inherent cherry and red fruit characters as well as contributing to the spicy complexity. The palate is generous and well structured. 2013 La Atalaya D.O.P Red wine, Almanasa, SPN 65 (Granacha Tintorea 85% / Monastrell 15%) This wine has great structure, intense red colour with violet tones and a powerful nose. Essences of cherries and black plums are accompanied by a touch of white pepper. The very long and well-balanced taste culminates the tasting of this great wine.
