SUF Restaurant Guide Before we get into this Restaurant Guide, I want to tell you a quick story.. Last year a friend of mine went to California Pizza Kitchen (CPK). She ordered the chicken salad, but asked the waiter to heat her chicken up a little, because she likes her chicken hot. The waiter said: Sure, that will cost you $3 extra because we have to remove the chicken from it s packaging and put it in the oven She goes What?! Where after the waiter explained: Yes, see, all our salads are pre-made My friend: I thought all your salads were fresh? Isn t this CPK? Waiter: No, the only time they are really fresh is if you custom order one. Then we d have to make one from scratch.. Of course this sounded totally wrong. For the money you pay, all salads should be fresh at a place like CPK. Same goes for big chain restaurants like BJ s, Olive Garden, Chili s, etc. However the problem is, ALL of those restaurants are mediocre ay best. They may look healthy, and they may have healthy options.. but the quality of food in the average American big-chain restaurant is HORRIBLE. (and unfortunately, I m talking about 99% of all restaurants in a 10-mile radius of Norwalk & La Palma) Even their healthy options are loaded with toxins.
And it makes sense.. They have locations all over the country, and because they are franchised they all need to follow the exact same protocol when preparing their food And to serve truly EXCUISITE food (organic, grass-fed, free-range, wildcaught).. it would be way too much work. And it would be impossible to replicate in all their locations.. So instead, these big chain restaurants go for cost-effective options. (aka: processed food with little nutrients and loaded with preservatives and taste-enhancers) If you ask me, when you go out to eat, you should be getting some food that is BETTER than what you would ve made at home. Not worse. And since your kitchen already produces beautiful grass-fed/organic/freerange/non-gmo food.. you better go to the restaurants that can match that. WHEN you go out to eat.. Eat High Quality Food You re going out.. you re spending more money than preparing it at home.. and you re honoring whichever restaurant you choose with your presence.. So go for restaurants where the food is real, fresh, and made from the ground up after you order it. In my opinion - the best restaurants will always be the smaller ones, or the ones with just a few locations, that serve
Grass-fed beef ZERO GMO s (Genetically Modified Food) Free-Range Chicken Wild-Caught Fish Organic Veggies Cold-Pressed Juices That s why I made you this list of all the restaurants in your area that are SUF approved. What does SUF Approved mean? It does not mean every item on the menu is healthy. But SUF Certified restaurants bring in high quality, organic ingredients, offer delicious healthy options, and provide a variety of choices for any type of eater. Most importantly, you can always find a SUF-approved meal at any of these locations. Get yourself to one of these restaurants. Trust me, you won t be disappointed. And you ll find out that these places are no more expensive than the big-chain restaurants.. and it s an awesome way of getting your whole family on board the fitness train.
