Portland, August 2017 Shipment No. 6 has arrived...! It took us a bit longer than usual but the new shipment has made into the basement! We have continued our partnership with the four wineries, Les Vins de Saint Saturnin, Château de Jonquières, Domaine d Archimbaud, and Domaine Le Clos de Bellevue. Following the enthusiastic reception of the Saint Saturnin Blanc de Blancs (brut méthode traditionelle, that is made the champagne way) we have again brought in a larger supply we finally have our brut again so we can appropriately celebrate. News from the wineries Last summer we had the opportunity to visit the wineries again. At Saint Saturnin we met with the winemakers and they are set on driving towards recognition of the high quality wines that they produce. They took us into the cave (cellar) where their finest wines are aged in oak barrels. We had the opportunity to open a 1994 Les Deux Vierges rouge, a great experience! At Château de Jonquières we tasted the new wines with owners Charlotte and Clément de Béarn; they are working on expanding their Terrases du Larzac vineyards. In Châteauneuf-du-Pape we spoke with renowned master sommelier Danièle Raulet-Reynaud and she confirmed that the Terrasses du Larzac appellation is rapidly gaining recognition. If you have a chance to visit the area, stop by at Saint Saturnin s tasting room with its calming view over the valley. Once you re there it s only a few miles to Domaine d Archimbaud and the beautiful Château de Jonquières. Changes Alas we could not re-order L Enfant Terrible from Domaine d Archimbaud BUT for the very first time we now offer their La Robe Pourpre, a spectacularly powerful balanced red wine, top of their line. Initial tastings expose dark red fruit along with earthy tones, strong nose and lingering aftertaste. After a brief absence we have brought back Saint Saturnin s poster child, the Seigneur des Deux Vierges rouge. This is the best that they offer, patiently raised in oak barrels for 18 months. The wine is broadly recognized; this year it won a bronze medal at the prestigious annual Concours Général Agricole in Paris. Sainte Cecile Wine Imports, LLC Page 1 of 8

Every year, the Union of French Oenologists organizes one of the most prestigious competitions in the wine world, the Vinalies Internationales. Over 5 days the jury members, all experts in sensory analysis, blind taste wines. Last year, over 3,500 bottles were tasted. Saint Saturnin s L Exception rouge was awarded a silver medal. This year for the first time we are bringing in Château de Jonquières Cuvee Rouge, referred to as 2015 Languedoc on the right. As you can see the winery got a visit from Robert Parker s crew. The Baronnie from 2014 is also in this shipment. Tastings with a view Join us for tastings with a view over the city! As always the tastings will get accompanied with Ken s artisan baguettes, cheese, chocolate and other tasty bites. Going through 11 different wines really lets you spot the fine differences. 40 years of wine import experience from Loes & Sieds Jellema in Holland, and now 9 years of Sainte Cecile Wine Imports in Portland! Our special relationship with the wineries and virtually no overhead allows us to continue to offer you these special wines at very favorable prices. You can always contact us directly, or stop by for a visit. Your wine importers, Sainte Cecile Wine Imports, LLC Paul Jellema & Cecile Nguyen 512 NW Albemarle Terrace Portland, OR 97210 Tel. Les Vins de Saint Saturnin started production in 1954 with 10,000 bottles and today make over 3 ½ million bottles in their modern facilities. Situated at the foot of the Larzac its vineyards spread over 760 hectares over four communes: Arboras, Jonquières, Saint-Guiraud and Saint Saturnin de Lucian. The vineyards' altitude varies between 80 and 300 meters which means wine-picking is spread out and this provides time for the grapes, whatever their altitude, to acquire optimum maturity. Saint Saturnin s famous "terroir" can best be described as a soil rich in clay and extremely stony, enriched by the subtle changes in climate due to the location and the dry Mediterranean summers. We import five of Saint Saturnin s finest wines: Appellation d Origine Protégée Languedoc Seigneur des Deux Vierges Rouge, 2014 Red wine, 13.5% alcohol Major red wine produced at Saint Saturnin, aged in oak barrels for 18 months in their cave. Full-bodied and spicy. Deep red color with purplish shades. Ripe red fruits come up, along with a peppery nose. On the palate it is well structured, very elegant, and offers a perfect balance between the wood and the wine's body. Store up to 10 years (50 to 59F), serve at 61 to 64F. This wine is at its best with red meats, regional cheeses and chocolate cake. Grapes: 50% Syrah, 40% Grenache, 10% Mourvèdre L Exception, 2013 Red wine, 13.0% alcohol A successful addition to our assortment with the previous shipment! Initial tasting unveils fruit (cherries, wild blueberries) with earthiness that quickly grows stronger once the bottle is open for a while. Out from the beautiful bottle comes wine with an intense red color, a gentle nose, and an elegant aftertaste. Store up to 5 years (50 to 59F). Serve with red meats, game, and cheeses. Grapes: 50% Syrah, 40% Grenache, 10% Mourvèdre Sainte Cecile Wine Imports, LLC Page 3 of 8

Cardinal de Lucian, 2013 Red wine, 13.0% alcohol A deep purple red, its nose is a concentration of mature red and black berries, discretely spiced. Solid vintage with a fruity note. The Cardinal is a true Languedoc classic. Delicate, giving immediate satisfaction. Store up to 4 years, serve at 63 to 64F. Recommended for traditional cooking; meats (especially game), roasts; chicken croquettes, terrine and cheeses. Grapes: 40% Grenache, 30% Carignan, 20% Syrah, 10% Mourvèdre Lucian Blanc, 2016 White wine, 13.0% alcohol A pale yellow, almost golden color. A distinct nose with young fruit, citrus, and spices, powerful and bold on the palate. Harmonious with a full and silky structure, it reveals a wide range of fresh and fruity aromas. Store up to 2 years, serve at 48 to 50F. Recommended with starters, shell fish, crab salad, stuffed mussels, salmon with dill, fish, Roquefort & goat cheeses (pélardon), and patisseries. Grapes: 40% Marsanne, 40% Vermentino, 20% Grenache Blanc Mâçonnais Les Deux Vierges, Blanc des Blancs, 2016 Brut méthode traditionelle, 12.0% alcohol Always hard to assess how much you need of this friendly champagne wine It s a lovely brut, semi-dry and crisp. Store up to 3 years, never serve above 39F. Recommended at the end of a warm afternoon, before a Burgundian dinner, or at any other celebration! The wine is made in the Mâçon area in Burgundy, and labeled for the Cave des Vignerons de Saint Saturnin. Grapes: 50% Chenin, 20% Ugni Blanc, 20% Colombard, 10% Jacquère Sainte Cecile Wine Imports, LLC Page 4 of 8

Château de Jonquières, recorded as an official French Historical Monument, is situated in the valley of the Hérault river. Located at the Terrasses du Larzac, the winery produces 30,000 bottles per year. The power, aroma, and typical elegance of the wines comes from a well balanced combination of specificity of the soil, Mediterranean climate, strict control of the grapes and great care used during the wine making process. Jonquières vineyards are fertilized organically, and the grapes are handpicked. Charlotte and Clément de Béarn always welcome you; their château can also serve as an unforgettable bed & breakfast destination. Terrasses du Larzac Appellation d'origine Contrôlée La Baronnie 2014 Red wine, 13.5% alcohol Review in «Les Meilleurs Vins de France» The great vintage La Baronnie, elevated in young oak barrels, is consistent, excessive in the mouth with a long aftertaste. In a few years this millésime (vintage) will only get better! Following 3 weeks of fermentation the wine is raised in oak barrels for 18 months. Stores well over 5 years. Black red fruit, serve at 61F. 40% Mourvèdre, 30% Syrah, 20% Grenache, 10% Carignan Appellation Languedoc Contrôlée Cuvee Rouge, 2015 Red wine, 13.5% alcohol Will this become a Languedoc stronghold? Initial reviews 87 points from Robert Parker are very promising! Fruity and soft, with a gentle aftertaste. Store up to 5 years. Serve at 61F. 30% Syrah, 30% Grenache, 20% Carignan, 20% Cinsault Indication Géographique Protégée Pays d Hérault Lansade Rosé 2015 Rosé wine, 13.0% alcohol A thirst quenching rosé perfect for the ever-hotter Oregon summers! Bold and crisp, a dry rosé, fruity and lively. Its beautiful nose is followed by a mouthwatering finish. Store up to 2 years. Serve at 54F. 90% Cinsault, 10% Carignan Sainte Cecile Wine Imports, LLC Page 5 of 8

family who always make you feel extremely welcome. Domaine d'archimbaud was created when the Cabanes family decided to leave the Saint- Saturnin co-operative and strike out on their own. They bottled their first estate wines from the 2001 vintage, and have been making remarkable wines ever since. Jean-Pierre Cabanes and his daughter Marie-Pierre make the wines, ably assisted in the background by wife/mother Marie-Claude. They are a lovely The winery is situated in Terrasses du Larzac, a limestone plateau on the southern edge of the Massif Central. Here, the altitude is higher and climate is different days are still sunny and hot, but nights are cooler than the more coastal and low-lying Languedoc regions, allowing for a slightly longer growing season. The resulting wines show great balance and complexity, and not a little finesse. The vines average around 30 years of age and yields are restricted. Domaine d Archimbaud is a certified organic wine producer. Appellation d Origine Protégée Languedoc La Robe Pourpre, 2014 Red wine, 13.0% alcohol La Robe Pourpre, the purple dress, has been on our wish list for many years! It has had multiple mentions in France s wine bible, «Le Guide Hachette», most notably with two stars in 2009. At this year s Wine Contest of the Vallée de l'hérault it won a silver medal. This is the top of the line of all impressive wines from Domaine d Archimbaud. Strong fruits with beautiful maturity. You can discover the size and elegance of the syrah, the roundness of the grenache, the freshness and Mediterranean character of the carignan, the subtlety of mourvèdre. Store up to 8 years. Serve with red meats, game, spicy sausages, rich stews. 50% Syrah, 30% Grenache, 10% Mourvèdre, 10% Carignan Indication Géographique Protégée Pays du Mont Baudile Les IV Pierre, 2016 White wine, 13.0% alcohol Medaille d Or in 2012 and again in 2013, at the Concours des Vins Vallée de l Hérault. This is a dry white - medium bodied, with a pronounced floral aroma, courtesy of 10% Muscat in the blend. Background notes of stone fruits, apples, clove and fennel. The grapiness manifests itself a little on the palate too, along with a nice lemon-infused acidity, making it very fresh on entry, before the richer, slightly thick viognier and grenache coat the palate with spiced fruits, with some herby notes coming in on the finish. Store up to 3 years. Serve with Thai-style curry, chicken, cold cuts, fish, seafood, cheese. Also very nice as appetizer on warm afternoons. 80% Viognier, 10% Grenache Blanc, 10% Muscat Sainte Cecile Wine Imports, LLC Page 6 of 8

Muscat de Lunel is an appellation of sweet, golden 'Vin Doux Naturel' wines made from the Muscat à Petit Grains grapes. General tips for drinking muscat wines: always drink the wine cooled to 43 to 46F. You can drink it as an aperitif, as a night cap, and it goes especially well with a chocolate or mocha based desserts. It also combines well with goose liver, a mousse de canard, and blue cheese. Régine and Francis Lacoste ran the most prestigious of all muscat wineries in Lunel. Their wines are widely regarded for their premium quality, including 20 consecutive years of presence in Le Guide Hachette. Exceptional soil, old vines, manual harvest, and special care during the wine making process, result in a unique smooth taste and fragrant bouquet. New owner and manager, Nicolas Charrières knowledge and energy are a guarantee for continued excellence from the winery. Appellation Muscat de Lunel Contrôlée Cuvée vieilles vignes : Clos Bellevue 2013 Dessert wine, 15% alcohol Presented in a Bordeaux-type bottle for prestige wines, this vintage wine comes from the oldest vines of the domaine. The Clos Bellevue has an exquisite white color, a fine and delicate nose - with hints of pineapple and lime, and beautiful aromas - and a remarkable crispness in the mouth.
