Company History Kurz & Lang is known for its German Prime Wursts (=German for sausages) Kurz & Lang is German and means short & long. The company was founded in October 2005 by Valentin von Amsberg (Director) and Ina Zimmermann von Siefart (Company Secretary). The objective of the company formation was to bring original German high end Bratwursts into the heart of London: quality hot food on-the-go. The Smithfield branch opened in June 2006. A high-end consumers packaging has been launched at the Speciality & Fine Food Fair 2014 in London 2
The Product & Production Kurz & Lang Wursts are being produced in a rural area of Germany between Frankfurt and Cologne. The producer Fleischhof Bayer is a family run business in the fourth generation that operates the so called warm production process: all production steps from slaughtering to packaging happen under one roof without freezing and transporting the product in-between. All livestock is sourced from surrounding farmers (max. 30 miles), which minimizes transport related stress. The end-to-end process ensures an ethically production and fully traceable consumer products. All our products are Gluten Free. 3
