LA ROCK Limited Edition We are always on the lookout for new and exciting wines, and sometimes we come across parcels that are just too small to become permanent fixtures on our wine list. Please find some of these wines below, personally chosen by us for their unique character and because they are great served alongside our cuisine. WHITE WINES Bottle 1. BAGORDI BLANCO 2016, RIOJA 25.00 Aromas of luscious tropical fruit and hints of fresh citrus and some pineapple notes carry through to a clean palate with a creamy finish. 2. CHATEAU GUERY SAUVIGNON BLANC-SAGESSE 2014, FRANCE 28.00 A zesty refreshing white that has vibrant and lively hints of citrus and exotic fruits. This wine s juicy fruit character leads through to a rounded finish that is a combination of subtle spice and refreshing fruit. 3. LITTLE BEAUTY GEWURTZTRAMINER 2011, NEW ZEALAND 35.00 Intensely aromatic and pleasingly luscious. Unlike many Gewürztraminers, the classic floral notes only become apparent on the long, complex finish. A truly exceptional food wine. 4. GUSBOURNE GUINEVERE 2014, KENT 50.00 Fresh lemon rind and vanilla on the nose leads to fresh green apple balanced by a citrusy crispness. The finish hangs with a satisfying, coating nuttiness. Despite some oak aging, this wine is comparable to a Chablis Premier Cru. ROSÉ WINES 5. RACINE CÔTES DE PROVENCE ROSÉ 2016, FRANCE 30.00 Fresh, vibrant summer berries with a hint of white rose petal on both the nose and palate. This is a light bodied wine with a refreshing, racy mouthfeel. 6. VILLA WOLF PINOT NOIR ROSÉ 2016, GERMANY 35.00 Produced in the south-west corner of Germany, not far from the French border, this is light and dry rosé with soft summer fruit character and a clean palate. Strawberry and raspberry fruit flavours linger on a refreshing finish. RED WINES 7. CARLOMAGNO APPASIMENTO PRIMITIVO 2015, ITALY 23.00 This wine is made by crushing partially dried grapes which has the effect of making the juice super concentrated. The result is a wine with intense aromas of dark winter berries, plum, and cocoa. Great with a rich red meat dish. 8. SMART DOG SYRAH, J. P. RAMOS 2015, PORTUGAL 27.00 Intense aromas of red berries with some spicy notes coming through the ripe fruit flavours. The palate is smooth with soft tannin supporting generous fruit and a full body. The wine finishes with plenty of spice and decent length. 9. PICTUS PAINTED WOLF SWARTLAND 2011, SOUTH AFRICA 45.00 This is a rich full bodied wine which combines charm with power. It shows red berry and spice on both the nose and palate and has a long polished finish. 10. RENE FAVRE ET FILS PETITE PINOT NOIR 2015, SWITZERLAND 49.00 This is an exquisitely soft Point Noir that has layers of complexity. Light savoury fruits are well supported by a fresh yet rounded finish. A well made wine, with an astounding elegance. 11. GIGONDAS CUVÉE PRESTIGE DOMAINE GRAND ROMANE 2014, FRANCE 50.00 From the appellation next door to the renowned Chateauneuf-du-Pape. Ruby purple in colour with ground pepper, black currant, cherries and aromatic undertones. It is a deeply full-bodied and powerful Gigondas. SPARKLING WINES 12. CREMANT D'ALSACE DOPFF & IRION, FRANCE 35.00 Made in the traditional method using Auxerrois and Pinot Blanc grapes. Aromas of fresh apple develop to a well balanced, fruity palate.

ROBERTSON WIDE RIVER VIOGNIER 2016, SOUTH AFRICA 3.75 5.50 20.00 A rich medley of fresh apricot, peach and lemon flavours with nuances of cinnamon and cracked cashew nuts. 14. AMANTI PINOT GRIGIO 2016, ITALY 4.25 5.75 21.00 With its floral character, this wine is crisp and refreshing, making it perfect for drinking before or during any meal. 15. DANCING FLAME SAUVIGNON BLANC 2016, CHILE 22.00 The winemaker has utilised the unique climate and terroir of the Leyda Valley to create a stunning Sauvignon Blanc which shows the clarity of fruit of a new world wine with the balance of a Sancerre. 16. DOMAINE DU TARIQUET CLASSIC 2016, FRANCE 23.00 Lively, firm with personality. This wonderful wine has an appealing aromatic individuality with good fruit. Don t overlook this little known gem, it s delicious. 17. TARINGI SAUVIGNON BLANC 2016, NEW ZEALAND 5.10 7.45 28.00 A classic expression of Marlborough Sauvignon with tons of gooseberry and citrus fruit accompanied by a zingy mouthfeel and light body. Try with our lighter fish dishes and salads. 18. GOUGUENHEIM CHARDONNAY 2015, ARGENTINA 5.25 7.70 29.00 Highly aromatic wine, with notes of green apple, pear and tropical fruits, this is a rich style of chardonnay and versatile when it comes to pairing it with our cuisine. 19. SOLITÄR RIESLING TROKEN S A PRÜM 2016, MOSEL 29.00 Aromas of lemons and limes are also present on a very elegant palate that has some peach, apricot and hints of honey. The wine s dry character brings balance and combines perfectly for a finish of length and depth. 20. SHARPHAM DART VALLEY RESERVE 2015, SOUTH DEVON 36.00 An English white wine that has a light, fresh character and pleasingly soft palate. Lovely fruit aromas, with a supple off-dry finish combine to make this a wine ideal as an aperitif or with food. 21. CHATEAU DE RIQUEWIHR GRAND CRU PINOT GRIS 2010, ALSACE 41.00 Using grapes sourced from the top vineyards from the stunning Chateau de Riquewihr in the Alsace. Ripe apricot and peach on the nose, moving to smoky spice in the mouth. Full bodied yet well balanced, this is a brilliant food wine. 22. CHABLIS PREMIER CRU VAU DE VEY DOMAINE DES MALANDES 2014, FRANCE 50.00 Classic Premier Cru Chablis with floral notes lifting above rich minerality on the palate. There is some crisp apple fruit here too that combines well to bring superb balance. 23. POUILLY FUMÉ CHATEAU DE TRACY 2015, FRANCE 55.00 One of the most premium Sauvignon Blanc producing regions in the world Pouilly Fumé has a fragrant smoky aroma, backed up by the zesty and gooseberry and citrus fruit and hints of blackcurrant leaf.

PLAIMONT MERLOT TANNAT 2016, FRANCE 3.75 5.45 20.00 Deep red in colour, this is a well-judged blend of Merlot's soft fruit and Tannat's structure, making it a full and juicy wine of repute. 25. MURPHY BIG RIVERS SHIRAZ 2015, AUSTRALIA 4.50 5.95 22.00 Blackberry and blackcurrant fruit character combines wonderfully on the nose with a hint spice. This becomes more pronounced on the palate with a lingering finish. 26. DANCING FLAME PINOT NOIR 2015, CHILE 4.40 6.45 24.00 Supple red fruits on the palate are supported by smoky notes and a crispness on the finish. 27. SMART DOG SYRAH TRINCADERA 2015, PORTUGAL 27.00 Intense aromas of red berries with some spicy notes coming through the ripe fruit flavours. The palate is smooth with soft tannin supporting generous fruit and a full body. 28. GOUGUENHEIM MALBEC RESERVE 2015, ARGENTINA 5.75 8.50 32.00 A delicious red with wonderful hints of vanilla integrated with black forest fruits. Big and rounded, yet leaves a silky soft finish. 29. FLEURIE PRESIDENTE MARGUERITE 2015, BEAUJOLAIS FRANCE 35.00 A wine with intense black fruit aromas that belie its light character. Soft and rounded, with a delicate finish. 30. TOBELOS CRIANZA 2013, RIOJA SPAIN 40.00 Intense black cherry in colour with an attractive, powerful berry-fruit nose and hints of vanilla and spice. Velvety soft on the palate, this is a wine with grace and character. 31. CHATEAU GUERY LES EOLIDES 2011, MINERVOIS FRANCE 40.00 Made from a blend of Syrah, Grenache and Mourvedre this wine has a deep brooding colour accompanied by an aroma of spicy cherries and red berries. Full and rich on the palate with soft delicate spices showing through. 32. CAL PLA PRIORAT 2014, SPAIN 45.00 Packed with opulent damson fruits with hints of nutmeg and cinnamon that are harmonised by silky tannins. This superior red has a very long, persistent finish. 33. CHÂTEAU CISSAC HAUT-MÉDOC 2013, BORDEAUX FRANCE 48.00 An elegant wine with a soft fruit aroma that hints at the complexity of the palate. Silky smooth with gentle plum and very soft spice, the finish is long and rewarding. 34. AMARONE DELLA VALPOLICELLA CLASSICO, 2013, ITALY 70.00 Amarone is a unique style of wine made from sundried grapes which gives this wine its characteristic concentrated style. Rich aromas of dark chocolate and spice. Full and well balanced with a rich, warm, silky texture.

DOM PERIGNON 2006 180.00 Moët and Chandon gives 'Dom Perignon' to the name of their Prestige Cuvée. An outstanding wine from this world famous Champagne House. 39. CRISTAL, LOUIS ROEDERER 2007 275.00 One of the world's most recognised Champagnes. It has a driving mineral force with fresh fruit character and clean but lasting palate. SPARKLING WINE 200ml Bottle 40. PROSECCO DI VALDOBBIADENE, CA VITTORIA, ITALY 8.00 30.00 Delightfully soft and refreshing prosecco from one of the oldest parts of the region. The wine exhibits perfect balance and a luxurious mouthfeel. 41. MAISON JBF BLANQUETTE DE LIMOUX BRUT, FRANCE 37.00 A classic French sparkling wine from Limoux, pale yellow in colour with fine bubbles. Aromas of apples and acacia combine well with hints of honey and biscuit showing through. SPARKLING ROSÉ Bottle 42. GOUGUENHEIM SPARKLING MALBEC ROSÉ, ARGENTINA 30.00 An extremely refreshing wine which draws upon the fuller body of the Malbec grape to give a light yet satisfying experience. Great as an aperitif. 43. MAISON JBF CREMANT DE ROSÉ BRUT LIMOUX, FRANCE 41.00 A soft salmon pink colour with fine elegant bubbles. Rich aromas of red currents and creamy strawberries show through with a soft hint of spice. 44. BEPIN DE ETO FLAVE ROSATO BRUT, ITALY 45.00 This is a delicious and easy drinking sparkling rosé that has a wonderful vibrant pink colour with rich aromas of apricots and a clean lime flower finish.

ROSÉ WINES 125ml 175ml Bottle 45. FOXCOVER WHITE ZINFANDEL, CALIFORNIA 3.75 5.50 20.00 A delicious medium pink wine with hints of fresh strawberries and summer fruits. 46. CHEMIN DES PELERINS ROSÉ 2016, FRANCE 22.00 A soft and refreshing Southern French rosé bursting with fresh red fruit and raspberry aromas. DESSERT WINE 50ml 47. DORGÓ TOKAJI LATE HARVEST, HUNGARY 7.50 A plethora of fruits (apricot, fresh prune, citrus) on the nose combine with honey, and wild flowers. Pear, grapefruit and a bit of vanilla on the palate are well balanced by natural sweetness. 48. MITCHELL NOBLE SEMILLON, CLARE VALLEY AUSTRALIA 5.50 The distinctive flavour of the sweet Semillon, one of the Mitchell Estate s specialities, is apparent on the palate, with a crisp and clean, finish. 49. PLUM INFUSED SAKE, JAPAN 7.50 After being marinated for 6 months the fruits are removed from the tank then Shiraume Umeshu is left to age for a further 2 years. A rich and sweet Sake with natural plum essence. 50. DV BY CHATEAU DOISY VEDRINES 2011, SAUTERNES FRANCE, 6.50 Stewed orange and orange flower on the nose. The sweetness is balanced by a citrus crispness, resulting in an opulent, multi layered expression. 51. MAS MUDIGLIZA MAURY GRENET VIN DOUX NATUREL, FRANCE 8.00 This wonderful 'Vin doux Naturel' is seductively sweet and exhibits luscious ripe black cherry fruit with a leathery, savoury edge. An exceptional partner to chocolate and cheese 52. COCCHI VERMOUTH DI TORINO, ITALY 5.50 This is a classic Italian vermouth made from a recipe which is over 100 years old. This traditional Italian wine has rich berry fruit flavours and a long enticing finish reminiscent of orange peel.
