Pasta cooker is a new utensil to cook all types of pasta in the microwave. COOKING CHART *Recommendations for use with 800 Watt Microwave. Time saver. No need to boil water first. Easy. Just follow the instructions on the pasta package. No need to break your spaghetti in half. TYPE TIME IN MICROWAVE Wash, cook, drain in the same vessel... the lid becomes the colander. The pasta cooker is 3-in-1 with the pot, strainer, and mixing bowl. Once you cook the pasta and drain (orzo is too small for draining), you can pour your sauce directly into the the bowl for serving. For cleanup, there will possibly be some water residue in the microwave. PastaCooker is dishwasher safe. *Testing conducted on 800W microwave. We recommend you follow the packaging instructions and adjust to your microwave and tastes.
ANGEL HAIR WITH SHRIMP, PARMESAN, LEMON AND OIL FARFALLE WITH PEAS, PARMESAN AND MOZZARELLA 1 serving angel hair pasta 7 shrimp, peeled and deveined 2 tbsp fresh squeezed lemon juice 1 tbsp olive oil Salt Pepper Grated Parmesan cheese ½ cup frozen green peas 2 tbsp water 1 cup farfalle 2 tbsp parmesan cheese 1/2 cup mozzarella, grated 1 tbsp olive oil 1 tsp salt 1. Place the pasta in the Lékué PastaCooker. Add enough water to cover the pasta. Place the lid on and cook in microwave for 4 minutes. 2. Remove lid and add the shrimp to the container. Replace lid and cook for for an additional 6 minutes. 3. Remove from microwave, flip the lid and drain the water. 4. Add the olive oil and lemon juice directly to the container, then add the parmesan cheese. 5. Gently mix around to coat the pasta and shrimp. Season with salt and pepper. 6. Sprinkle with a little dried parsley and parmesan cheese before eating. 1. In the Lékué Ogya or Steam Case, place the frozen peas and water. Close lids and cook for 3 minutes and 30 seconds. Remove from microwave, keep lids closed, and set aside. 2. Put the farfalle in the the Lékué PastaCooker and add enough water to completely cover the pasta. Cook for 14 minutes. 3. In the meantime, add the parmesan cheese and olive oil to the peas. Close lids and give it a quick shake. 4. Once pasta is finished cooking, remove from microwave, flip the lid, and drain the water. 5. Add the peas, mozzarella, salt, and pepper into the pasta cooker and mix together gently with a spoon. The cheese will melt and create a delicious sauce.
GEMELLI PASTA WITH ITALIAN SAUSAGE AND BROCCOLI MACARONI WITH CHERRY TOMATOES, RED ONION AND ITALIAN BREAD CRUMBS 1 cup gemelli pasta 1 italian sausage, case removed ½ cup broccoli florets 2 tsp tomato paste Salt Pepper 1 cup macaroni 1/2 container cherry tomatoes 1/4 cup red onion, chopped 1 clove garlic, minced 2 tsp olive oil, separated 1 tsp salt Scant 1/4 cup Italian bread crumbs, toasted 1. Remove the casing from the sausage by lightly running a knife down the link. Casing will peel off easily. Cut into 1/2 inch pieces. 2. Put the pasta and sausage into the Lékué PastaCooker and add enough water to cover the pasta. 3. Place the PastaCooker in microwave and cook for 7 minutes. Add broccoli and cook for an additional 5 minutes. 4. Remove from microwave, flip the lid, and drain all but a couple table spoons of the water. 5. Add the tomato paste directly to the cooked pasta and mix until paste thins out, creating a sauce. 6. Season with salt and pepper. 1. In the Lékué Ogya or Steam Case, put the cherry tomatoes, garlic, red onion, salt, and 1 tsp olive oil. Close lids and cook for 6 minutes. 2. Once finished, leave lids closed and set aside. 3. Place the macaroni into the Lékué PastaCooker with enough water to cover the pasta. Add 1 tsp olive oil, put the lid on, and cook for 12 minutes. 4. While macaroni is cooking, with a fork, squeeze the cherry tomatoes to form a sauce. Add the pepper and mix to incorporate. 5. When macaroni is finished cooking, remove from microwave, flip the lid, and drain the water. 6. Pour the sauce into the steamer with the cooked macaroni and add half of the toasted bread crumbs and mix with a spoon. 7. Sprinkle more bread crumbs on top of the pasta just before eating. *If you want more of a tomato based sauce, make a full container of cherry tomatoes in the same amount of time.
PENNE PASTA WITH RICOTTA SAUCE THREE CHEESE TORTELLINI WITH HOMEMADE TOMATO SAUCE 1 cup penne pasta 1/4 cup milk 1 cup Ricotta 1 1/4 tsp salt 2 tsp dried oregano 1/2 tsp sugar 1/4 tsp cinnamon 1 cup tortellini 1/2 container cherry tomatoes 1 clove garlic, minced 1/2 tsp sugar 1 tsp salt 1 tsp olive oil 1 1/2 tsp dried basil 1. Pour the milk into the Lékué Ogya or Steam Case or microwave safe bowl and warm for 30 seconds. Remove from microwave. 2. In the Lékué PastaCooker, place the Penne pasta and enough water to cover it. Put lid on and cook for 12 minutes. 3. While pasta is cooking, add the Ricotta, salt, pepper, oregano, sugar, and cinnamon to the warm milk. Gently mix with a fork or spoon until smooth. 4. When pasta is done cooking, flip the lid, drain the water, and add the sauce to the pasta. 5. Sprinkle a little more dried oregano on top if desired. 1. In the Lékué Ogya or Steam Case, put the cherry tomatoes, garlic, sugar, salt, pepper, and olive oil. Close lids and cook for 6 minutes. 2. Remove from microwave and with a fork, squish the tomatoes. Add the dried basil and set sauce aside. 3. Put the tortellini in the Lékué PastaCooker, and add enough water to cover it. Put lid on and cook for 4 minutes. 4. When pasta is done cooking, remove from the microwave, flip the lid, drain the water, and add the homemade tomato sauce to the pasta. 5. Garnish with grated parmesan cheese. *This sauce draws inspiration from southern Italy, which likes to play with sweet and savory. The cinnamon in this dish is subtle, but makes a state ment.
