How do I search products in GDSN? Using GTIN provided that I m looking for a specific product and know it s ID Using GLN provided that I m looking for products of a specific manufacturer (information provider) and know it s ID Using Target Market (in combination with other IDs) But what if I just want to find a product of a given kind? I need a way to specify what group of products I am looking for The best way seems to be using a common classification scheme

I m planning to open new wine department in my Good Mood Stores chain I need to find reliable suppliers offering wine of various kinds to cater for my clients different tastes I can access my local Data Pool and subscribe to receive information about wine products BUT: I want to be sure not to receive notifications concerning footware, furniture or DIY tools, which I consider as a spam I need to specify clearly what information I m looking for
The answer is - classification GPC provides a tool for buyers to find new products By assigning the products to a BRICK buyers can look for what they want Wine Still, Wine Sparkling and Fortified Wine are Bricks of the Trade Item Grocers subscribe to one of those Bricks, e.g. Wine Still
