Château Mossé History In the heart of a small village of 80 people, a former stronghold of the Templars in the eleventh century, the Château Mossé was founded in 1884 in the heart of Aspres in Pyrénées-Orientales, by the great grandfather of current owner Jacques Mossé. Terroir The domain spreads over an area of 120 ha including 50 ha of vineyards planted on clay-limestone and shale soils. Very old Carignan vines, over 100 years, grow on exposed slopes facing south. Very low yields allow high concentration and the breakdown of aromas. The wine growing and making processes are friendly to the environment.
