North Idaho College Food and Beverage Practices: - NIC Dining Services is charged with providing food, beverage and related services for the college community and guests of the college. Accordingly, NIC Dining Services shall provide all food, beverage, and related services for all groups, events and organizations utilizing facilities under the jurisdiction of North Idaho College. In the event NIC Dining Services cannot directly provide the services requested, NIC Dining Services shall approve of all services and items provided by outside vendors. Requests for exemptions from this policy must be submitted in writing to the Food Service Manager not less than 15 business days prior to the date of the desired event. - The primary purpose of this policy is to ensure that the NIC community and guests utilizing NIC facilities receive the highest quality of food, beverage and services in accordance with applicable federal, state and local laws. This also protects the NIC community by insuring all food and beverages are prepared and served with critical health and sanitation standards such as those developed by the National Sanitation Foundation (NSF) and the National Association of College and University Food Services (NACUFS). - In accordance with health and sanitation efforts, there is a policy of zero leftovers allowed to be taken from all buffets and served meals provided by NIC Dinning Services. How to Place an Order or Seek Assistance Planning a Special Event - Routine food service requests can be made in person by visiting the NIC Dining Services in the Edminster Student Union Building or by calling 769-3359 or 666-8014. - Food, beverage, or related service requests that require greater detail can be arranged with an appointment with the Food Service Manager or the Food Service Production Manager. - All food service orders must have a guaranteed count of participants in the event no later than 48 hours before the event. Minimum Orders: - The minimum order numbers listed in this menu, represent the lowest number of items Dining Services can provide at the price listed. Requests below the lowest number of items may require a change in pricing. Delivery Charges: There will be a $20.00 delivery fee for off campus food service orders. Additional Charges: - For large events there could be additional charges for equipment rental, extra linen, and/or service ware rental. - Labor charges for all events will be included in the price for 3 hours. Any events that go over 3 hours will have additional labor charge added. This amount will be pre arranged with the event planner, and will be in the signed contract.
