PRESS RELEASE Gino D Acampo, the UK s favourite Italian chef, announces he is to open further restaurants in the UK Gino D Acampo, the UK s favourite Italian chef, has revealed that he plans to step up the pace of new restaurant openings in 2017 - kicking off with the launch of a fantastico new restaurant in Leeds city centre later this year. The opening follows the hugely successful launch of his restaurant brand Gino D Acampo - My Restaurant in Manchester s Corn Exchange and London s Euston station. The new 150 cover restaurant will be situated on Park Row, in the former Piccolino restaurant, opposite Jamie s Italian, and will open all day every day, serving lunch until late. Piccolino will be moving to new larger premises in the city. Full details will be announced very shortly. The two-storey restaurant will boast an open kitchen, lower ground cocktail & wine bar and an eat-at deli bar. The design has a true Mediterranean feel, with the use of white marble, washed woods and trademark green leather reflecting Gino s passion for his homeland of Southern Italy. Gino s promise is to serve real Italian food as it should be, while keeping his offering affordable for everyone. No compromises will be made - ensuring the use of well sourced, seasonal and artisan
ingredients by utilising Gino s vast range of contacts across the diverse regions of Italy. The day-to-evening menu will be packed full of favourites from Gino s books and TV programmes. Gino s popularity grows from strength to strength and his primetime TV series, Gino s Italian Escape, will return this November. The series will be accompanied by a new book, Gino s Hidden Italy, and the restaurant will feature many of its delicious dishes on their seasonal menu.
