Sancerre, Domaine Cherrier, France Made by the father and son team of Fernand and Sylvian Cherrier who own 11 hectares of land around the village of Amigny, about two miles from the town of Sancetrre in the Loire Valley. This is a traditionally styled Sancerre grown on chalky soils that shows the typical Sauvignon Blanc characteristics of gooseberry and Blackcurrant fruit backed up by fine minerality. Côtes du Rhône, La Sarriette, Jacques Charlet, France Lovely fruit driven Rhône with a touch of pepper and spice. Château Haut-Gaudin, léres Côtes de Bordeaux, France Great example of the appellation showing clean rounded fruit and well-judged semi toasted oak. Jacques Charlet, Fleurie les Florines, France A classic nose, slightly Gummy, but with lots of ripe raspberry and blackcurrant notes. Ormanni Chianti, Italy A true Chianti that s full bodied, deep, rich style with complex black cherry and toasty oak flavours. Côte de Nuits villages, Bertrand Ambroise, Burgundy, France Dark and rich with deepish black fruit and forest floor flavours.
