DA RONG HE DEBUTS AT MAN WAH From 19 to 27 September, Da Rong He, an award-winning Sichuan restaurant in China, will excite every gastronome in Hong Kong by making its debut at our one-michelin-starred Cantonese restaurant, Man Wah. The esteemed team of Da Rong He, known for incorporating Sichuan s flavours with Huaiyang s cuisine presentation, Suhang s regional colours, and Guangdong province s cooking techniques, will present a series of signature dishes that will truly represent a new delicate take on Sichuan cuisine. Guests can enjoy more than 25 different signature dishes on the à la carte menu and two special set menus. Legendary chef Pierre Gagnaire returns to celebrate his eighth anniversary at his two-michelin-starred restaurant Pierre this November with an irresistible special menu highlighting the eight most celebrated dishes of his career. Elegantly prepared by Chef Gagnaire himself and available exclusively from 8 to 14 November 2014, this Magic 8 anniversary dinner menu will feature eight courses reflecting the evolution of his expansive career. Dishes include 2008 watercress Liebig black olive stuffed lettuce, white tuna belly, Ringo Starr duck foie gras, 1989 pan-sautéed langoustines Terre de Sienne, and 1992 warm veal terrine, red cabbage and redcurrant jam, watercress ice-cream. MANDARIN GRILL + BAR TAKES FLIGHT This September and October, Mandarin Grill + Bar will be launching a partnership with Cathay Pacific to bring progressive gastronomy Michelin-starred dining to the skies. Guests flying First-Class between London and Hong Kong will be able to experience a new classically simple inflight menu that is seasonally inspired using quality organic ingredients. The menu features appetisers such as a terrine of foie gras with winter truffle, asparagus with freshly toasted brioche, and home-smoked salmon with crabmeat and caviar. Main courses include organic beef from the award-winning Brandt Farm in the US, perfectly balanced with a combination of celeriac puree and truffle jus, and succulent organic chicken partnered by a wing bone foie gras. Desserts have been de-constructed and transformed into pure pleasure on a plate.
