Facts and Figures for Hotel Bildunzentrum 21 Hotel Bildungszentrum 21 and Mission 21 (Basel's Protestant Missionary Center) are a spirited an effective partnership. The Mission House is 150 years old and wonderfully located in a 15,000 square meter park, right in the heart of the city of Basel. The facilities include: 73 Modern Guest Rooms All rooms are equipped with an internet connection, TV and telephone. In addition we have special rooms for handicapped persons and persons with allergies, plus rooms for smokers. 18 Meeting Rooms The decor of the rooms is contemporary. All common technical equipment you may need is available from us for rent. 2 Meeting Rooms in the Oekolampad Center At this separate location, we can offer you meeting rooms for up to 400 persons. (See separate information.) Restaurant Zum Rosengarten Our meals are prepared from fresh and seasonal products. Our emphasis is on quality rather than extravagance. A Menu of the Day is always available (soup or salad, main course and dessert), plus our Plate of the Day, and a fine and varied salad buffet. Spalenkeller Banquet Room Downstairs in our rustic Spalenkeller you will be surrounded by stone taken from the ancient walls of the city of Basel. General Terms Applying to Meeting Room and Group Reservations Reservation Reservations are defined exactly: We guarantee your reservation. Please report at least 48 hours before the event the exact number of people who will attend. If fewer people attend, we will charge for this pre-reported number of guests. Cancellation Costs 90 to 61 days before arrival: CHF 80.00 fee for administrative costs. 60 to 31 days before arrival: 50% of the reserved room rental. 30 days or less before arrival: 100% of the reserved room rental. 3 days before arrival: 100% of all costs for the meeting as planned. Organisation Agreement regarding all details, i.e. - setting up the rooms - equipment to be provided - coffee/refreshment breaks - meal times - hotel rooms at least 10 days before arrival. Basic Audio-Visual Equipment Each meeting room (not including additional group rooms) includes an overhead projector, flip chart, bulletin board and lectern. Additional technical aids are charged separately, according to our price list. Availability Specific room assignments are provisory and are subject to change at any time by us. Seite 9

Withdrawing from a Contract We reserve the right to withdraw without damages from a contract if it is determined, after creation of the contract, that the type of event does not fit our guidelines for the nature and content of events to be held in our facilities. Groupe Reservations of Hotel Rooms Group Hotel Room Reservation Cancellations 3 months prior: complete cancellation is allowed 89-30 days prior: 50% of reserved rooms can be cancelled 29-14 days prior: 25% of reserved rooms can be cancelled 13-02 days prior: 05% of reserved rooms can be cancelled Less than 2 days prior, no rooms can be returned without incurring cancellation costs. "No-shows" will be billed for. To avoid misunderstandings, we ask you to please send us any cancellations by regular post or by internet (e.g. email message). Invoicing After the agreed start date, your invoice is caculated on the basis of the number of guests confirmed to us in writing at least 48 hours before the event. Accepted Forms of Payment Cash (CHF, Euros, and US Dollars), EC-Direct Card, Swiss Postcard, or (by arrangement) with credit cards or by invoice-based transfer of funds. Price Prices subject to change without prior notice. Miscellany Any special cleaning (of spills, etc.) is charged at CH 80.00 per hour. How to Find Us By automobile From the Autobahn (freeway) take exit "Basel City" direction "Bahnhof SBB". From the Bahnhof (train station) go in the direction "Universitätsspital". At the intersection "Spalentor" turn left onto Missionsstrasse. We are on the left (opposite) side. Turn left across Missionenstrasse into our parking lot (Einfahrt Parking) using the second entrance (Missionsstrasse 21). Öffentliche Verkehrsmittel From Bahnhof SBB (Basel's main Swiss train station): Bus 30, to Haltestelle (stop) "Spalentor", walk 300 steps to Missionsstrasse 21. Tram 1: Direction Dreirosenbrücke, Haltestelle (stop) "Birmannsgasse" (5th stop). Walk down Birmannsgasse to Missionsstrasse and turn left. Continue walking to Missionenstrasse 21. From Badischer Bahnhof (Basel's German train station) or from Messe Basel: Bus 30 to Haltestelle (stop) "Spalentor", walk 300 steps to Missionsstrasse 21.
