Your generous donations will help us supply our core network of 21 emergency food outlets in Spokane that feed more than 17,000 people each month. There are three ways to organize a food or fund drive: Organize a Food Drive: Collect nonperishable food items, such as peanut butter, canned soup, cereal or other items. We can provide you with collection boxes. A poster and a list of mostneeded food items are available on our website. Organize a Fund Drive: Every dollar donated provides five meals for hungry people in our community. We can provide donation cans. $ Organize an Online Fundraiser: Take the work out of physically collecting food or managing funds by hosting an online fundraiser. Our online fundraising tool is quick to set up and easy to use. Create a custom drive and invite your family, friends and coworkers to donate online. Track donations in real time. You can even start a little healthy competition with department, classroom or team challenges! Any individual or someone representing a business, church, school or other group can set up a fundraising page to benefit Second Harvest. It s quick to set up, easy to manage, and you can track your results in real time! Just follow these few steps to get your fundraiser live: 1. Go to www.crowdrise.com/secondharvest. 2. While on Second Harvest s Charity Profile, click FUNDRAISE FOR THIS CHARITY. 3. You will be given two choices click the first one, START A NEW FUNDRAISER. 4. You will be asked to sign in to or create your personal CrowdRise account. 5. Once you are logged in, follow the simple steps to create and personalize your fundraising page. You can choose a title, add up to 12 photos and a video or logo, as well as some information specific to your business/church/school/group and campaign for Second Harvest. 6. You will be able to e-mail your page and share your fundraiser link on social media with friends and coworkers to invite them to donate. You can even start a little healthy competition with other friends, departments, classrooms or team challenges. 7. People who donate to your fundraiser will receive an immediate thank you e-mail and a receipt containing all the details of the tax deductibility of their donation. 8. You will be able to track the real-time progress of your fundraiser on your page at any time. Every $1 you raise provides 5 meals for hungry people.
