welcome April 16, 2015 To Our Valued Winery Partners: The Southern Oregon World of Wine Festival has a new name the Oregon Wine Experience and the 2015 edition promises a wealth of new, as well as familiar, experiences. The name change is part of a strategic move to rebrand the event to appeal to a broader audience. Now in its 13th year, the event represents a collaborative effort between Asante Foundation and the Southern Oregon Wine Industry, and it has been restructured and expanded to a week-long event with a variety of wine and culinary experiences. We re hopeful that you will participate in this important event that not only promotes the Southern Oregon wine industry, but also helps support local healthcare. Keep in mind that 100% of the proceeds from this event go to Asante Foundation and Children s Miracle Network. Please take a moment to review all of the information below. Partnership with Asante Foundation Last year marked the first year of the partnership between the Asante Foundation and the Southern Oregon Wine Industry and the event was a huge success, raising nearly $300,000 for local healthcare, including the Children s Miracle Network. 2015 Oregon Wine Experience Calendar of Events Highlights of this year s event include the following: Wine Competition, with two judging panels composed of noted wine professionals and wine writers. Please see the attached Calendar of Events for all the details. 541-789-5998

Once we receive your Participation Form, your winery information will be listed on our website along with a link to your winery website. As in prior years, all wines poured at the event, as well as all wines entered in the wine competition, must be made 100% from grapes grown in Southern Oregon (principally the Applegate Valley, Rogue Valley, Umpqua Valley, and Elkton AVA s). To enter your wines, please go to to complete the online OWE Competition Entry Form. Please note the following important points: The entry fee is $50 per wine (maximum 8 wines) and you can pay online using a credit card. Complete rules for the wine competition are also available online. We have increased the number of judges and will feature two panels of three judges each. This year s judges include two Masters of Wine and four prominent wine writers. Please see the attached list for more information. Please note that by completing the Participation Form and Competition Entry Form, you are agreeing to pour wine (including all medal winning wines) at the Grand Tasting to be held Sunday, August 23rd. In addition, should your wine(s) win a medal in the wine competition, you are also agreeing to pour your medal winning wine(s) at the Miracle Auction and Salmon Bake on Saturday, August 22nd. We anticipate that the total amount of wine poured will be less than 1 case for each event. Other We have put together some very attractive sponsorship packages geared specifically to our winery partners. In addition, this year wineries have the option to host an Ultimate Vintner Dinner at their facility. We will be sending you additional information regarding these matters. Also, Tim Vevoda with Pallet Wine Company will be contacting you directly to discuss these opportunities in greater detail. Please don t miss this opportunity to help promote your winery and the Southern Oregon wine industry, and perhaps more importantly, support local healthcare. Please contact me if you have any questions and we look forward to seeing you at the 2015 Oregon Wine Experience!
