Londonderry Police Department Lt. Timothy Jones will be retiring this June after a career that started with the Londonderry Police Department on May 4, 1998. During his time at LPD, Lt. Jones served as a School Resource Officer, Detective, Sergeant, Detective Sergeant, and Lieutenant in both the Patrol and the Services Divisions. He also served six years in the United States Navy. Lt. Jones retirement is truly bittersweet, as he will be sincerely missed around the station, but he is also well deserving of a long and enjoyable retirement. Lt. Jones is a genuine example of how to conduct one s career.
The Londonderry Police Department now has available a Drug Take Back container that we will be rolling out this coming April. It will be made available 24/7, 365 days a year, and will be located in the lobby of the Londonderry Police station. People can dispose of any of their drugs and medication, as well as other items, with no questions asked. You will not need to speak with anyone and it is completely anonymous. This take back container will replace the biannual drug take back day sponsored by the D.E.A. If you have any questions, please feel free to call the Londonderry Police Department at (603) 432-1118.
Do you occasionally have a situation where you need more room in your trash barrel? Overflow trash bags can be purchased at the Town Clerk s office at Town Hall for $3 apiece. These specially colored and labeled 30-gallon trash bags can be filled with your excess trash and placed on the ground beside your regular trash barrel.
