Good for container culture or small spaces. USDA Zones 5-10 DESERTNYI POMEGRANATE Special selection from the Turkmenistan collection of world famous hybridist Gregory Levin. Desertnyi translates to English as dessert, and it is a real dessert treat. Light orange rind contrasted by dark red arils makes for a unique look. Excellent sweet-tart balance with citrus overtones. Mature fruit has an orange juice like flavor, with a great, firm eating texture. Very soft edible seed. 200 hours. PARFIANKA POMEGRANATE Wolfskil- Dr. Levin selection. Large size Red fruit is sweet with a hint of acidity. Arils are red with very small edible seeds. Vigorous upright plant sets a heavy crop dependably. Maintain at any height with summer pruning. Self-fruitful RED SILK POMEGRANATE Medium to large-sized fruit with a brilliant red silky exterior. Large, firm yet edible seeds have a sweet berry flavor and a great acid/sugar balance. Naturally semi-dwarf tree has a slightly-spreading growth habit and sets large crops. Grow as a tree or shrub and keep any height by summer pruning. Excellent source of antioxidants. Eat fresh or use in cooking. 150-200 hours MISTY BLUEBERRY Southern Highbush. Early, in the West Misty is quite vigorous, growing very well both on the coast and in the inland heat. This excellent flavored fruit does well in areas with chilling as lows as 150 hours and all areas with mild winters and hot summers. O'NEAL BLUEBERRY Southern Highbush (low chill, tolerates heat). Large fruit is especially sweet and flavorful. Early season. Soil must be acidic, high in humus. 5-6 ft. bush. 200 hours. Self-fruitful, but plant two varieties for largest crops. PINK LEMONADE BLUEBERRY Pink Lemonade offers something unique in edible fruits. White translucent berries mature to a luscious bright pink and taste wonderfully sweet with a firm, clear texture. 'Pink Lemonade' will produce farther south than many traditional blueberry cultivars. Berry color and flavor will attract both gourmet cooks and those seeking a culinary novelty, however, it is the beauty of the plant that will earn respect of gardeners everywhere. SUNSHINE BLUE BLUEBERRY Southern Highbush cultivar. Great flavored firm berries. Ripens May 10 through June 15 at Gainesville, Florida. A semi dwarf evergreen bush with great fall color. Showy hot pink flowers fade to white in spring. Estimated chilling hours needed 150 hours, but very cold hardy as well. BLACK BUTTE BLACKBERRY Very large sized berry. The flavor is very good and the plant is suitable for both the homeowner and fresh fruit market. Fruit ripens late June/early July. Self-fertile. USDA zone 7-9. BLACK SATIN BLACKBERRY A thornless variety that has large firm berries. Very sweet in flavor it is used for both fresh eating and jams and preserves. Both heat tolerant and cold hardy, this variety ripens in July. Self-fertile. USDA zone 5-9. PRIME ARK 45 BLACKBERRY Developed at the University of Arkansas, harvests late summer into fall, produces large crops of medium to large fruit over an extended harvest period. Good flavor. MERLOT GRAPE Black berry, used for distinctive red wines. Best quality in cooler regions. 100 hours. Cane or spur prune. SYRAH GRAPE Wine varietal that works in moderate or hot regions. Disease resistant, heavy producer. ZINFANDEL GRAPE For fruity red wines. Medium size, round, juicy, reddish-black berry, early mid-season. Prefers mild winters, cool summer. Heavy bearing. 100 hours. Cane or spur prune. TOMURI MALE KIWI Male kiwi bred to pollenate females of the same type, has large heart shaped leaves and creamy white flowers, and excellent landscape feature. VINCENT FEMALE KIWI Produces tasty egg sized fruit, pollenated by Tomuri. Bred for warmer climates, requires 100 hours of chilling and 240 frost free days. Hardy to 10-15 degrees when mature. Ripens in October. TRIPLE CROWN BLACKBERRY Semi-trailing. Thornless. Medium to large flavorful berries. Dense foliage prevents sunscald. Begins to ripen in early August. Vigorous vines to 15 require support. Very productive, reliable harvests. USDA Zones 5-12. BABABERRY RASPBERRY Everbearing. Large red berries up to 1. Good flavor. Warm climate/mild winter raspberry. Plentiful June harvest followed by smaller crop in fall. USDA Zone 7-9. BOYSENBERRY THORNLESS Developed in Southern California this berry is very large and non-shiny. A great variety for the homeowner, the fruit is sweet and very juicy. Great for eating off the vine, this variety is good for both warm weather climates and colder regions of the country. Fruit ripens early July. Self-fertile. USDA zone 6-9. OLALLIE BERRY A cross between Youngberry and Loganberry, it is classified as a Blackberry. The fruit is juicy, shiny and on the tart side. Can be used for jams, pies, and wine making. Takes up to two years to bear. Zones 7-9 GOJI BERRY Bright red fruit used either fresh or dried. Contains the highest antioxidant level of any fruit type. Drought tolerant once established and very cold hardy. Self-fertile. USDA zone 5-9 CRIMSON SEEDLESS GRAPE New late season seedless grape, ripens early October in Fresno, CA. Medium size, firm, very sweet, excellent quality. Cane prune. 100 hours. MUSCAT GRAPE, GOLDEN Hardy, productive, ripens a week after Concord. Large fruit with sweet rich flavor, can be eaten prior to peak ripeness when it has a tangy citrus like flavor. Large fruit clusters, excellent home garden variety. Zones 5-8 PRINCESS GRAPE Large, mid season, white, seedless. Fruit stores well and hangs on the vine for an extended period. Best for fresh eating and raisins. USDA Zones 4-10 PINK LADY APPLE (Cripps Pink) Hot climate apple from Western Australia. Very crisp, sweet tart, distinct flavor, good keeper. Skin reddish pink over green when ripe.
