BEFORE FIRST USE Unpack the box with care, keeping all the packaging materials until you are satisfied everything is included and in working order. Remove all packaging and foils and store it for later use. Before using the appliance for the first time please clean the pot and the accessories, as described under the chapter Cleaning and Care to remove dust or production residues. OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS Frothing 1. Place the appliance on a flat surface. 2. Fill the pot with the desired amount of milk, and replace the lid. NOTE: the maximum milk quantity permitted to add is 150ml, to avoid milk overflowing after frothing. 3. Place the pot on the power base and connect the plug into a power outlet. 4. Press the froth button once, the corresponding indicator will turn on, the mixing paddle and frothing ring will rotate separately for frothing milk. The Frother will automatically stop rotating after frothing is done. Note: You can cancel at any time by pressing the froth button. 5. When the Frother is done, open the lid, pour out the frothed milk and enjoy! Caution: Allow at least 3 minutes between using again. The appliance will automatically shut off after 5 cycles of continuous operation. The working indicator light will flash for about 10 minutes and go into standby mode, at which time you can continue to use. OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS Heating 1. Place the appliance on a flat surface. 1 2. Open the lid and take out the frothing ring from the mixing paddle. 3. Fill the pot with the desired amount of milk, and replace the lid. NOTE: The maximum amount of milk is 250 ml, to avoid milk overflowing after heating. 4. Place the pot on the power base and connect the plug into a power outlet, the indicator light will turn on. 5. Press the heat button once, the indicator light will turn on. The Frother will automatically start. Once the temperature of milk has achieved about 70±10 C, the mixing paddle will stop rotating automatically. Note: During operation, you can cancel at any time by pressing the heat button once. Note: The function of the mixing paddle is only used to avoid sticking. It will not froth the milk. 6. When the appliance has finished heating up the milk, open the lid, pour out the warm milk and enjoy! 7. Always disconnect the power supply when not use. Frothing & Heating 1. Place the appliance on a flat surface. 2. Fill the pot with the desired amount of milk, and replace the lid. SERVING SUGGESTIONS Here is a selection of quick and easy drinks you can make using the frother. WITH FROTHED MILK Cappuccino 1/3 Espresso Add 2/3 frothed milk Top with cocoa powder. Latte Macchiato Pour frothed milk in a tall glass Add espresso carefully along rim of the glass. Instant Frothy Coffee Make instant coffee Add frothed milk. HINTS & TIPS WITH HOT MILK Caffe Latte 1/3 Espresso shot Add 2/3 heated milk and stir. Hot Chocolate Pour heated milk in to a large mug Add chocolate powder and stir to mix. Instant Milky Coffee Place instant coffee granules in a cup Add hot milk and stir to mix. CLEANING THE MILK FROTHER Remove the plug from the power before cleaning. Take out the silico ring. Never immerse the Milk Frother or power base into water. 1. THE POT: Clean immediately after each use. Flush and clean the inner walls with warm soapy water and a non-abrasive cloth. Then wipe dry with a soft cloth. 2. THE LID: Separate the lid and the silicon ring. Wash with warm soapy water. 3. THE BODY: Clean with a soft cloth. Never use sharp cleaning agents, hard nylon brush or metal brush to avoid scratches on the stainless steel surface! Never clean with metal objects and never use abrasives. 4. THE WHISKS: Remove and wash with warm soapy water. Dry and store in a safe place. Do not put in the dishwasher. 5. Take out the spiral whisk or paddle, use a small brush to clean areas around the motor, wipe clean and dry thouroghly. 7. Use sponge or non metal soft brush to clean the inside and outside of the Frother, then wipe dry with a soft cloth. 8. When cleaning the Frother, never immerse it in water. There are electronic components in the body that will be damaged. 9. NOT dishwasher safe. CLEANING AND TIPS Here are some handy hints to help you get the best out of your frother. Always use your frother first to froth or heat your milk. While it is working prepare your coffee or hot chocolate and serve immediately. Use whole milk (fat content >3.0%) for best results. Cold milk can be frothed with this frother. Milk heats to approximately 65+/-5 C. This is the ideal temperature to ensure the best flavor of your coffee and it will not be too hot to drink. Keep the whisks in a safe place. They are small and can easily be lost. After frothing or heating allow 2 minutes for the thermostat to reset and the frother to be ready for use again. To shorten this time, rinse with cool water and wipe dry after each use. The frother is designed to heat and froth milk only. Do not put coffee grounds or chocolate powder or other similar consistencies into the frother. Clean and dry after using. 12 13
