Wild Atlantic Way Experience DAY 2 Breakfast at leisure Transfer along the coastal route to Doolin and board chartered boat to the nearest island Inisheer. Inis Oirr translates as the Eastern Island and is the smallest of the 3 Aran Islands. Inisheer has a palpable sense of enchantment enhanced by the island s deep rooted mythology, it s devotion to traditional culture and ethereal landscapes. Once on the island we meet a local, and our fleet of bikes and off to explore the history, traditions and folklore of island life. We stop for a surprise deluxe picnic lunch and visit a 70 year old lady still producing great craft work and a gift for each guest. Then we head back by boat to Doolin. The most unique Wild Atlantic Way experience!

DAY 3 Limerick City, Capital of the Shannon Region, has a colorful and fascinating history with Castles, ancient walls and museums testament to its past. Its City Charter is older than that of London's, granted to the city in 1197 by King John. 1691 saw the capture of the city and the signing of the Treaty of Limerick. The 1800s, among other things saw the construction of St. John's Cathedral (1856) which took over 3 years to complete. Limerick went through some difficult periods, times which have been described so famously in Frank McCourt's Angela's Ashes. However, the opening of the University of Limerick, the first university established since the independence, marked a change in the fortunes of Limerick. The Limerick of the 21st century is a busy and progressive city which is also a seat of learning, housing the 8000 students of the University of Limerick. It is a city of contrasts in that it has a medieval core and an intriguing history and yet is also a thriving commercial and tourist centre. Evening in Bunratty Castle Bunratty Castle is situated alongside the River Ratty in the centre of the village between Shannon and Cork which are only 7 miles away. The castle is a large single tower house over five floors, built in grey stone. It is the most authentically restored and complete medieval fortresses in Ireland and situated within a folk park of 26 acres. The main attraction to visitors of Bunratty Castle is the collection of medieval furniture and objects with over 450 pieces on display. All the articles are genuine, not reproductions. There are knowledgeable guides to talk about both the pieces and life for the castles occupants.
Fond Farewells DAY 4 All good things come to an end and this morning we get you to Shannon Airport safely and in comfortable time to check-in, duty free shopping and complete US Customs & Border Security allowing you check you and your luggage through your gateway city and all the way home.
