Welcome to Coletta Gelato, San Francisco s first real gelateria in the SOMA district. Our gelato is exceedingly fresh and ultra smooth with imaginative flavors that meld Italia with California. We are committed to making our gelato by hand and know that every detail matters. We spent months perfecting our proprietary gelato base, which is the starting point for all of our offerings. This base is then blended with premium, seasonal ingredients that create an array of flavors. Our scoops are always served at the optimum temperature and at peak freshness. In these ways, we ensure that every spoonful has a silky texture and tastes absolutely delicious.
PRE-PACKED delivery or pick up Coletta Gelato arrives in individual sized servings, ready to be enjoyed at your convenience. If you want a quick-and-easy option, this is the right package for you. Servings: 30-1000+. Serving Size: Mini (2.2 Oz) or Regular (4 Oz). Packaging: Sealed biodegradable craft cups, delivered, with spoons and napkins. Transportation: Optimum temperature and peak freshness are always maintained using our freezer systems. Freezer space required if you do not plan on serving upon arrival. Or, Cool Boxes can be rented.
COOL BOX CART delivery, pick up or on-site Coletta Gelato arrives in fresh batches ready to be scooped! If you re in charge of an event or party, our Cool Box might be your new best friend. A charming little mobile cart, the Cool Box is versatile and ready to make people smile. Servings: 60-1000+. Serving Size: Mini (3 Oz) or Regular (5 Oz). Flavors: Each Cool Box holds 2 flavors (Custom flavors available by request). On-Site: We send our staff to scoop for you (1 hour of complementary service w/ order of at least 2 Cool Boxes). Delivery or Pick-up option: We do all the prep and teach you how to scoop. Includes: Cups, spoons, and napkins (cones available by request).
COLETTA CRUISER on-site service only Coletta Gelato arrives in Style! Our cruiser is stunning and unique. Custom-made in Sicily, this gelato bike is a real show-stopper and it comes with a premium package to give you a premium experience. Servings: 240-1000+. Serving Size: Any combination of your choice (mini, regular, grande). Flavors: Each cruiser holds 8 flavors (Custom flavors available by request) Staffing: We send our amazing staff to scoop for you (Don t be surprised if you get one of the Founders or Master Chefs!). Includes: Cups, cones, spoons, and napkins. Resources: A single standard electrical outlet required.

OUR TEAM Our founders, Henri Waltenspühl and Antonio Massimini, met while studying for their business degrees in Milan, but it was their love of gelato that got them dreaming. After attending Gelato University (yes, that s a thing) they headed west to open Coletta Gelato named after Henri s grandmother, Nicoletta, who first introduced him to gelato during summer vacations on the Italian coast.
