Three and four night Christmas package Christmas Eve - Monday 24th December 2018 The Hydro Hotel is the perfect venue to celebrate Christmas with family or friends. Arrive on Christmas Eve from 1pm and enjoy mulled wine and warm mince pies in the lounges. The choir of All Saints Church will be singing Christmas carols in the lounges from 2.30pm. Afternoon tea is served in the Crystal restaurant from 3.30pm Jonathan Owen our General Manager and his team look forward to welcoming you to the manager s drinks reception from 6.30pm, a chance to meet other guests and the Hydro team whilst enjoying the accompaniment of the South Down trio. James Penn our head chef and his brigade will prepare a sumptuous four course dinner using the finest local ingredients for you to enjoy in the Crystal restaurant. After dinner you can relax in our lounges with a wee dram, or for those guests, who have a competitive edge, join us in the Conservatory for a fun game of Christmas themed Charades! Christmas Day - Tuesday 25th December 2018 Start Christmas morning with a glass of Buck s Fizz before enjoying traditional breakfast in the Crystal restaurant. New for 2018 is the Hydro scavenger and treasure hunt around the hotel and local area. Guests are encouraged to meet in the conservatory at 10.30am. Enjoy a glass of sherry before lunch and our traditional Christmas Day five course luncheon in the Crystal restaurant. Join fellow guests in the Drawing room to watch Her Majesty the Queen Christmas message followed by tea and homemade Christmas cake. Our traditional Christmas Day quiz and games will follow from 4pm in the Conservatory with fantastic prizes to be won. We will be serving a Christmas Day evening drinks reception in the lounges from 6.30pm followed by a Christmas fayre evening in the Crystal restaurant. Enjoy the sounds of Chris Mannion in the Conservatory to round-off an enjoyable day. Guests who wish to attend midnight mass can join the team in reception at 10.30pm for a short stroll to St John s Church. Our resident s bar will be open for a night cap or hot beverage on return from the service.
Boxing Day - Wednesday 26th December 2018 Enjoy a leisurely traditional breakfast in the Crystal restaurant, before perhaps taking a stroll along the seafront to the bandstand for the traditional Boxing Day open air dancing. For those who wish for a more sedate morning the sounds of laughter and joy will be heard from our Boxing Day bingo in the Conservatory. James will be preparing a light lunch buffet served in the Crystal restaurant for guests, followed by afternoon tea in the lounges. A charity raffle will be taking place, with the proceeds being shared between our nominated charities, Chestnut Tree House and St Wilfrid s Hospice. Catherine and Hanka will be welcoming guests in the Garden Suite from 4pm for an afternoon of Christmas arts and crafts. Join fellow guests from 6.30pm for our Boxing Day Champagne drinks reception served in the hotel lounges before dinner in the Crystal restaurant. After dinner relax or dance the night away in the Conservatory to the sounds of Duality from 9pm. Friday 28th December 2018 A hearty breakfast is served to help you on your way before leaving us.
