Fine Flavour Cocoa Map The main countries producing Fine and Flavour cocoa are: World produces 4.100.000 ton of cocoa per year. Around 8% is Fine Flavour Cocoa 76% is produced in Colombia, Ecuador, Peru and Venezuela.

The Finode Aroma denomination is an International Cocoa Organization (ICCO) classification, which describes an exquisite aroma and flavour. 76% of the Cacao Finode Aroma produced in the world is grown in Colombia, Ecuador, Venezuela and Peru.

Fine of flavour cocoa beans are produced from Criollo or Trinitario cocoa-trees varieties. Bulk cocoa beans come from forastero trees. WHAT IS THE LUKER WAY It is the connection we have with our partners; is our relationship with the farmers (our suppliers), the environment, our employees, the clients and with society at large. We believe in sharing opportunities, knowledge and technology. We work together to produce the finest chocolate from Fino de Aroma cocoa beans.

1. We believe in fair purchasing conditions Direct purchase to farmers in fair conditions: Commercial agreements with more than 40cocoa producers associations. Represents more than 18.000hectares. More than 6.000families benefit from this program. Many of which reside in zones of armed conflict or where illicit crops are grown.

2. We believe in better cocoa quality with high production Adopting better technology to achieve Finode Aroma quality and higher production: CasaLuker subsidies farmers with around 20%of the cost of vegetable material. Farmers are train to select the best vegetable material for their plantations and additional income. Agroforestry system: Developed by CasaLuker sagricultural department. More than 25years of research. The model is adapted to each region in Colombia and Peru according to the soil and weather conditions. With this model the yield and the income of the farmer increases by around 300%.

3. Webelievein educationforall Through La Granja Luker, one of the few cocoa research centres in the world, we encourage the adoption of profitable cultivation models. More than 700farmers are educated annually in La Granja Luker. More than 30.000farmers have passed through La Granja Luker during these 50 years. We have 15 model plots in Colombia and Peru. Farmers participate directly in the implementation of better agricultural practices.

4. Webelievein people CasaLuker has 2.000 employees in Colombia, Peru and Belgium. The company provides around 3.000 loans to their employees every year to finance study and housing among other things. CasaLuker has its own foundation that works in order to improve the quality of life ofthehabitantsofthecityofmanizales. From 22 employees an the Granja Luker 13 have been working here for more that 5 years.
