New students living in housing during the 2018-2019 academic year are required to purchase one of the four Dining Services Meal plans Bronze, Silver, Gold or Platinum as part of their housing and dining contract. Residents living in housing during the 2017-2018 academic year may choose not to purchase a dining services meal plan. Your Dining Meal Plan Account uses your Student ID card (Eagle Card) like a prepaid debit card. You choose the dining level you believe will meet your needs. The A la Carte Points associated with your plan level will be available to spend each quarter. A la Carte Points can be spent at all Campus Dining locations that are operated by EWU Dining Services for meals, beverages, groceries and snacks. **$7.50 in A la Carte gives you $9.28 retail value over cash at key Dining locations We recognize the cost of education and the associated programs are an impact to everyone. Students who are sacrificing good nutrition and daily dietary requirements is also a concern. Due to this, EWU Dining Services offers lower level meal plans allowing student to add money to their accounts through-out each quarter.

Food Allergies & Special Dietary Needs EWU Dining Services is proud to have built a program designed to assist those with special dietary needs. By working with students individually, we can determine the dining strategy that best suits each student s needs. Here you will find some of our current practices and accommodations available for students with special diet needs. Personalized Service: Dining Services is here for you and has employed a Registered Dietitian to assist students with special diets on campus. Contact, Natalie Stine, RD, at 509-359-6624 or nstine@ewu.edu to schedule a consultation. Purple Pantry: To help supplement food options available at Tawanka Main Street Dining, we have installed an access controlled pantry. This station includes a dedicated gluten free microwave, toaster, refrigerator and freezer. This pantry can be supplied with a variety of prepackaged products for students who have registered with Paul. Partnerships: To improve services, staff training, and awareness, we have partnered with FARE (Food Allergy Research & Education) and Aller- Train by Menutrinfo, LLC. Allergy Friendly Menu: Coming Fall 2017, Dining Services chefs and managers are developing an allergy friendly menu from which students can pre-order using the Tapingo app. Nut Sensitive Dining: EWU Dining Services does not use peanut or tree nut products in the production of foods. Visit www.ewu.edu/dining/nutallergies or contact Natalie to learn more. Use myeaglecard to deposit money to your Eagle Flex account with a credit card. Also check your balances and transaction histories for your Dining Meal Plan and Print Credit accounts. Go to www.ewu.edu/myeaglecard for more info.
