Our Story The Doner was developed in the heart of Turkey and cooked with love in Germany, the Döner after travelling across continents satiating the palates of food lovers; it has now found a home in Dubai. Doner Deli brings together the most loved flavors from the street food capitals of the region It all started when the founders of Doner Deli, Eng. Hazem Elgendy and Mr. Mustafa Alrefaie wandered in and around the Turkish cities where the Döner originated, tasting every variety of Döner possible. They travelled to Lebanon, where they tasted the spiced Shawarma and then to Greece where they tried the Gyros mixed with fresh Tzatziki which inspired the chefs in them to get more creative. In Germany, they prepared their very own version of sliced meat mixed with herb sauces, wrapped in thick flat bread and served with a fresh crunchy salad - in other words the German Döner. They finally decided to set up shop in Dubai - where people and cuisines from all over the world meet.
