Let me take you on a little shopping tour of Cazenovia, New York. We will visit quite a few places of interest to take care of your Holiday Shopping List, while enjoying the quaint historic village of Cazenovia. We are going to start just outside Cazenovia at Critz Farm Balsam Barn Gift Shop and Tasting Room. They also have Christmas Trees, ornaments, cheese, hard cider, and more. Gift shop is open week days 10-5 p.m. and week ends 10-6 p.m. Now let s Continue back toward town on Route 13 north to Empire farmstead Brewery. They are open Tuesday & Wednesday 4 9 p.m. and Thursday through Sunday 11:30 9 p.m. for lunch and dinner. They also have growlers for sale and a little gift shop. (Bar closes at 11 p.m. each night) Round the corner to the Brewster Inn Gift Shop with several gift options including Gund Teddy Bears and some gourmet items from their kitchen. A large selection of homemade ice cream flavors. Gift Certificates available at their desk. We are only getting started...next stop is the Brae Loch Inn Gift Shop The Brae Loch is a Scottish Tavern and yes they do wear kilts. The basement dining room is cozy with fireplaces aglow. You may wish to set a spell and take in the beauty of the rooms and wet your whistle. The gift shop is upstairs on the main floor with unique items to choose from. They also have gift certificates. Turn north on East Lake Road and we will travel about 2 1/2 miles to Owera Vineyards. A few bottles or a case of wine for our Holiday guests would be a great find.
We are now traveling back into the Village with plenty of shopping adventures. We can park in front of Kinney Drugs and find oodles of stocking stuffer gifts, gift cards, greeting cards, wrapping paper, bows and even some snacks. If you park in front of Kinney s it is only 2 hour parking. Cazenovia Artisans Is right next door with over thirty artisans work on display and for sale. Dave s Dinner Is on the corner and has Kabul Coffee They serve breakfast and lunch but close at 3p.m. Let s lock our purchases in our car and cross Albany Street to Community Bank where there is an ATM if you need it. We are now headed east on Albany and passing the Allure Dance Studio and Berkshire Hathaway Realtors. Next stop is J.S. Height & Sons fine Wine shop. She may have samples for your tasting pleasure. Caz Pizza Everybody Loves Pizza have a slice now or buy some gift certificates for your friends. McCarthy s Irish Pub Take a break from your shopping and stop in for a drink or have a bite to eat. Enjoy some traditional Irish food or pick up your own McCarthy s Pub merchandise. Next stop is The Key
The Key is a consignment shop for clothing and house wares. Many great finds in here and a great place to keep in mind when you want to donate your items. Next Stop is Lavender Blue at 74 Albany St. All the colors and joy of the south of France with a wonderful selection of tablecloths and accessories from Provence. The styles and fabrics will astound you. Such a colorful experience not to be missed. Gabrielle Chocolates at 72 Albany St. is our next stop with the sweetest shop in town. Gabrielle is also in Manlius at the former Kimberly s Ice Cream and Chocolate Shop. Next is Loka Leaf Tea Lounge where you can sit a spell with a hot cup of tea with many blends to choose from. They also serve tea sandwiches and treats. Parking: If you park behind the library it is free all day parking. Just a short walk to unload your gifts. The library also has public restrooms and if you adventure upstairs you can see the mummy in the museum. After visiting the mummy you can exit the front door of the Library and cross Albany Street to go to Amanda Bury Antiques. Amanda Bury Antiques offers fine antiques and funky objects found since 1981. Featuring 19th and 20th century decorative antiques, folk art, silver, glassware, porcelain, estate and ethnic jewelry, textiles and garden items. Pewter Spoon is next for a cup of coffee perhaps or some sweets. Next stop is Village 20 East...
Village 20 East Here you can find artisans work and locally grown products. You can find tons of gifts for family and friends as well as maybe some produce to use for Christmas Dinner. You should feel at home while shopping for your own home. As you leave Village 20 East continue take the seven stone steps down to the basement of the Lincklaen House for their famous popovers served warm with every meal. When you leave go upstairs and check it out for your next party. Exit out the side door on Lincklaen Street and cross to Tizzy's. Step through the lit arbor into Tizzy s where you will find an eclectic mix of antiques, home furnishings and bath and body products to enhance your home. They have the Beekman Boys products and many other gift items. Now take a few short step to Latte Da! Wow...how can so much good stuff be packed into one space, Homemade soups everyday and huge sandwiches. Desserts galore with mile high cakes, cupcakes and homemade pies and cookies daily. You can get it to go for when you get home. Now continue up the street and check out Town Tech. Here you can repair your devices to get them ready to record and use during the holiday season. Also if your giving someone a new laptop or kindle for Christmas have them stop by to learn how to set up and use their devices.

They provide fresh flowers, floral designs and delivery. Even if the weather is nasty out you can still get your flowers to your loved ones. We have to now come back to Albany St. at the four corners of our village...turn right and you are enjoying all of the windows of Cazenovia Abroad and P.E. Mulligans. These lovely shops have been in business since 1967 and offer silver, general gifts, women s accessories and many other items including Christmas decorations. Next we pass Subway with foot long subs and wraps. Chocolate Chip, Oatmeal Raisin and Sugar Cookies. They have gift cards especially for your students. Next stop is Blushing Rose who offers a wonderful collection of moderately priced clothing for ladies and little girls. They also have ladies accessories, linens and unique gifts for the home. As well as table cloths, placemats and napkins for any occasion. Now you are passing the Greater Cazenovia Area Chamber of Commerce which services over 230 members in and around Madison County. John is an award winning architectural and interior designer who has been published in countless magazines. Great place to stop for gift ideas for the holidays. They have expanded their store to include a large selection of millennial furniture and accessories. When continuing down the street be careful not to trip over the raised stone porch of 51 Albany. It has been there for years and you may not have noticed it before. The final stop on our shopping tour is Cazenovia Jewelry. This shop has jewelry and gifts in all price ranges! They may even have a gift for you when you make a purchase from them during the holidays.
