Where possible, we will return enquiries within 72 hours. Participation in an Artisan Central market is subject to your acceptance of these requirements. This is a market for makers, so the person running the stall on the day MUST be the person who has created/designed ALL items for sale on that stall. Preference will be given to local makers (within the Nillumbik shire and neigbouring shires of Banyule, Whittlesea and Manningham), although others are more than welcome to apply and will be approved space permitting. As this is a niche boutique market with limited stall space, the organisers reserve the right to refuse applications. To increase variety for our customers and prevent competition between stallholders, at each market there will only ever be one stall selling an item that uses the same creative process and/or materials. For example, in the case of jewellery, there will only ever be one silversmith, one ceramic artisan and one glass artisan. All requests for positions on market day (eg. Next to a colleague, corner stall, etc) must be stated via email. They will be considered, but cannot be guaranteed. When allocating sites, preference will be given to when payment is received. Renting a stall does not create any form of tenancy or imply a future right or licence. Stalls are rented to approved stallholders on a per market basis. Stall rental is at the discretion of management. Chairs are available for use at the hall. PRIOR TO MARKET Insurance A minimum of $10 million Public Liability Insurance is compulsory for all stalls. Skincare or consumable products are required to have $20 million Product Insurance of their own, in addition to public liability insurance Artisan Central cannot provide Product Insurance. Artisan Central is able to provide Public Liability Insurance cover for stallholders at a cost of $10 per market. If you have your own insurance, a copy must be emailed to market management prior to market day). Stallholders have full responsibility for all licences and insurances, including Workers Compensation and OH&S. Artisan Central and its organisers will not be held liable for any loss, theft or damage to artwork or goods on site. Stallholders must comply with the Victorian Health and Safety Act to ensure that stall set up will not jeopardise public safety. Artisan Central and local Council will not accept any responsibility for injury or death to any person on site. 1711 Artisan Central Stallholder Requirements.docx Page 3 of 7

Ensure your stall is not a public hazard in any way. Access and Unloading We ask that all stallholders use the carpark immediately next to the hall ONLY while unloading and packing up. This will free up the carpark for customer convenience, thereby increasing your exposure during market hours. Setting up please park, unload and move your items to your allocated space in the hall and then move your car out of the hall carpark BEFORE you start setting up your stall. 3 hour parking is available at the Woolworths carpark and all day parking is available at the sports fields across the road. Packing up please pack all items completely ready to load into car BEFORE you move your car back to the carpark immediately next to the hall. Stallholders are expected to be patient, courteous and considerate when driving on and off site and during set up, pack up and trading. Failure to respect those around you will result in you being asked to vacate the premises immediately. All stallholder vehicles entering the park do so at their own risk. The stallholder will pay any damage made by stallholders to Banyule Council. For example: if you hit a power pole you will be liable for the full replacement cost of the pole, and so forth. We recommend that stallholders driving into the park should carry third party property car insurance to cover any property damage that may occur. Stall Display Public access ways must be kept clear always with all merchandise, equipment signs etc. within stall boundaries. All outdoor stall equipment shall be firmly secured to protect personal and public safety. Marquees/umbrellas used outdoors MUST be secured by water/sand weights or pegs on all 4 legs. Stallholders may not insult or intimidate other stallholders, customers or staff. Stallholders are required to remove all rubbish and materials in and around their stalls at close of trading. Offensive behaviour will result in the offender being required to leave the site immediately and they will not be invited back to Artisan Central. You may bring your own food and refreshments. Please ensure that you remove all rubbish and food scraps at the end of the day and clean up any spills. The market is a family oriented, child-friendly event.
