Last year's cereal harvest can ruin this season's pulse yield if you let wheat and barley volunteers hang around in your fields. They can significantly reduce pulse yields a risk you don't need to take when there's a great solution like Venture L grass herbicide available. Venture L is a selective post emergence herbicide for control of a broad range of annual and perennial grasses in broadleaf crops Volunteer cereals can have a significant impact on the yield of pulse crops. Venture L offers unsurpassed control of volunteer cereals in your peas and lentils Product Benefits Economical broad spectrum control of grassy weeds. Excellent wild oat control. Liquid formulation with built in surfactant. Optional rate for quack grass suppression. Unsurpassed volunteer cereal control. Packaging Each case contains two 8 L jugs. Uses Peas (field) Lentils Canola and triazine tolerant canola Creeping Red Fescue (seedling & established) Flax Legume Forages (alfalfa, red clover & birdsfoot trefoil) Mustard Soybeans Sugar Beets Sunflowers Tobacco Vegetables (asparagus, broccoli, Brussels sprouts, cabbage, cauliflower, carrots, cucumber, onions, potatoes, rutabagas, sweet white lupins, tomatoes) Fruit (apples, apricots, blueberries, cherries, cranberries, pears, peaches, plums, raspberries, strawberries) There are maximum rates of Venture L allowable per crop. Barnyard grass Crabgrass Fall panicum Giant foxtail (Eastern Canada) Green foxtail Johnson grass Old witchgrass Persian darnel Spring barley Volunteer corn Volunteer spring wheat Wild oats Wild proso millet Wirestem muhly Yellow foxtail Application Information Use Rates General rates of use for Venture L are given below to control various grass species. Refer to the label for the maximum use rate on each crop. For broad spectrum grassy weed control, including Johnson grass, Persian darnel, barnyard grass, volunteer spring wheat and spring barley, wild oats, wild proso millet, crab grass, fall panicum, old witchgrass, green and yellow foxtail: 1 jug per 20 acres (0.4 L/acre) For quackgrass suppression, apply Venture L at a rate of 1 jug per 16 acres (0.5 L/acre). Application Method Ground Application Information Venture L may be applied using ground equipment only. Apply Venture L in 5 to 20 gallons per acre (50 to 200 L per hectare) of water. Venture L is rainfast in 2 hours. http://www.syngentafarm.ca/productsdetail/venture L/Soybeans%20(conventional) 3/5

Venture L will be less effective when weeds are not growing rapidly because of stress from lack of moisture, excessive moisture, flooding, low temperature and/or very low relative humidity. Regrowth by tillering may occur if application is made under any of the above stress conditions. In wide row crops where the crop canopy may be slow to close, cultivation may be necessary to control grasses that emerge after treatment. Although the growth of grasses ceases soon after application, the process of killing the foliage, rhizomes and the entire plant may take up to several weeks. Annual grasses that are beyond the recommended leaf stage at application will not be controlled. Venture L must be applied before annual grasses produce tillers. Potatoes: Only use Venture L on potatoes to be sold domestically or exported to the U.S.A. Mixing Order WALES Symbol: E Use Restrictions Rainfast: 2 Hours Pre Harvest Interval (PHI): Potatoes: 45 days Tank Mixes Potatoes: May be tank mixed with Lexone or Sencor for early post emergent application. Review tank mix partner label before use. Technical Information Chemistry Group Group 1 Herbicide; Active Ingredient: Fluazifop P butyl and S isomer Mode of Action Venture L contains 125 g per litre of fluazifop P butyl. Venture L is a systemic herbicide which is translocated from the treated foliage to the growing points of leaves, shoots, roots or rhizomes. Although the growth of grasses ceases soon after application, the process of killing the foliage, rhizomes and the entire plant may take up to several weeks. Venture L activity is not affected by rainfall if it commences two hours after application. http://www.syngentafarm.ca/productsdetail/venture L/Soybeans%20(conventional) 4/5
