Putnam Valley Elementary School along with the Putnam Valley PTA Arts in Education Committee is proud to announce that this year s 3 rd and 4 th Grade Musical will be Annie Kids! The show will once again be coordinated and directed by Mrs. Phillips with musical direction from Mrs. Calhoun. The Performance dates are March 11 th and 12 th. Auditions for 4 th graders will be on Monday, November 9 th after school until 5:30. (Please send a dismissal note.) Auditions for 3 rd graders will be on Tuesday, November 10th after school until 5:30. (Please send a dismissal note.) Your child must have a written dismissal note to attend auditions. Transportation home must be provided by parents. Each child will need to have the completed audition form. Each child should be prepared to sing a selection from Annie and to read lines from Annie. Students should see Mrs. Calhoun for these selections. Memorization is encouraged but not required. These are closed auditions. Parents will not be permitted to sit in on the auditions. Parts will be assigned at our first rehearsal on Tuesday, December 1 st. Rehearsals will be held after school on various Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays until 5:30 PM in the auditorium. Friday morning rehearsals are from 8:00-9:00 AM in the music room. A detailed rehearsal schedule will be sent home prior to our first rehearsal on Tuesday, December 1 st. Please review your child s schedule carefully. Your child will be required to attend all scheduled rehearsals for his/her assigned role. Our first rehearsal for the entire cast is after school Tuesday, December 1 st. Parents are required to attend a mandatory parent meeting at 6:00 PM in the Auditorium on Tuesday, December 1 st.

NY METS SPIRIT DAY Let s Go METS!!! PVES is celebrating the world series and the great job this new york team did! On Tuesday, October 27 th, you are invited to dress for blue and orange day! P.V.E.S Physical Education Department "Ask Me..." Dear Family, During Physical Education we have been learning how to juggle scarves. Ask me to show you how I can juggle. Please make sure that I can do the following things when I practice at home. Kindergarten & 1 st grade: Toss and Catch 1 scarf using lobster claws 2 nd grade: Throw across, throw across, Catch down, catch down 3 rd grade: Hold 3 scarves and throw them the correct way 4 th grade: Hold 3 scarves the correct way and start throwing and catching them the correct way If I can show you that I can do these two things, please sign and write any comments that you may have, and I will return it to Mr. Heitman and Mrs. Aurigemma.
