The Students Union is delighted to provide a broad range of catering services at SMR campus, tailor-made for you and your event. This includes breakfast, lunch platters, buffet selections, afternoon tea, wine and conference packs. STAFFING The Students Union is led by students who hire a team of professional staff to support our work. Wherever possible we hire students to undertake our work we believe that offering students opportunities to learn these skills will reinforce our community. The student staff team is led by Commercial Manager, Jackie Crossman. ETHICALLY SOURCED We buy our products from the National Union of Students Services Limited (NUSSL) consortium. This group has been supplying Students Unions with ethically-sourced, quality products for over 40 years. NUSSL engages with suppliers to ensure they meet student-defined ethical requirements and works with them to improve their practices. This ensures that students purchasing power is harnessed for social change. TAILOR-MADE SERVICE We can offer a bespoke, tailor-made catering service for your event and can provide alternative options for people with allergies. We also offer vegan, halal, and gluten free options. Vegetarian meals are included as standard. VENUE HIRE WITH CATERING SERVICE The Students Union is the perfect place to hold a special event, drinks reception or informal meeting. We are able to host a wide variety of events including club nights, birthday parties, live music events, drinks receptions, hot and cold buffets, relaxed socials and formal black tie affairs. We have even hosted a wedding! Talk to us about your ideas! Whether it s a lunch for 3 or a conference for 300, the Students Union offers a competitive and quality service. All of our food is prepared on site by our student catering team.
