A famous and dependable heirloom, which produces 2" red fruit on compact 3 ft. vines. Medium sized, full-bodied, red fruits are borne on this highly productive heirloom. Very pretty and unusual cherry tomatoes. Thin skinned. Delicious right off the vine. Needs a strong stake. Productive. Indeterminate; 70 ITALIAN BLACK BLACK Mid-season. One of the best black tomatoes, with high yields of perfect, round, blemish-free fruit. Rich full flavour, great for canning. The size of a Bartlett pear, bred in Russia, despite its occidental name. Potato leaf vine. Good in containers. JAPANESE BLACK TRIFELE BLACK SLICING CANNING Indeterminate: 70 Beautiful, apricot-shaped heirloom from France. JAUNNE FLAMME ORANGE SLICING LANDRY'S RUSSIAN RED SLICING LILLIAN'S YELLOW YELLOW SLICING LIME GREEN SALAD GREEN SLICING Small, 2-3 oz. tomatoes are an attractive deep orange colour and tasty eaten fresh from the vine. Very juicy and delicious with a sweet tangy flavour. Heavy producer. Tomatoes retain their vivid colour when dried. Mid to late season 75 to 80 days Early. A Canadian heirloom, which should yield well in our climate. Brought to the prairies by Russian immigrants. Indeterminate plant with 2-3", round, salad-style fruit. Great flavour, high yields. Large, pale yellow beefsteak tomato. Heirloom. Globe-shaped, clear yellow tomatoes with a thin skin. Juicy flesh with few seeds and a mild, sweet, citrus flavour. Indeterminate, potato leaf plants. Good storage tomatoes. When we want tomatoes for Christmas - this is the one we grow. We store them very carefully in a cold room and have had them last into January. It's a lovely thing to supply your own tomatoes at the Christmas table. There are more flavourful tomatoes, to my mind, but none that last as long in storage. A Canadian heirloom, developed in Manitoba for harsh growing conditions. Worth growing every year to ensure a tomato crop when weather is unfavourable. Delicious, bright red, round tomatoes are smooth and firm and weight about 6 oz. Good in containers. Productive. Determinate. Resistant to cracking. Vines are fairly compact at 3. Early 60 Very small, red cherry tomatoes look like currants. Very productive vines will produce right up to the first frost. Sweet and tasty, with a tender, smooth texture. High sugar content. Delicious eaten straight off the vine, in salads or salsa. Very tall vines. These grow wild in Mexico. Indeterminate. Early to mid season 60 days These orange tomatoes are very sweet and meaty. A beefsteak type with very small seed cavities. Excellent slicing tomato. Mid season This unique, small, French, cherry tomato is white blushed rose; very pretty and delicious. Rare and unusual, outstanding for both flavour and appearance. Indeterminate; 75 Mid-season. An old English heirloom; produces 4-6 oz. globes that are intensely red, smooth and of very high quality. Adapted to hot, humid climates and will set fruit in almost any weather. Becoming rare. Very tasty.

A lovely, large, red slicer on compact vines with a nice, tangy, old-fashioned flavour. High in sugar content. If you have room for only one tomato, this Quebec heirloom is a good choice. Mid-season. Deep orange, medium to large size tomatoes with a good flavour. Heavy yields. Large, meaty, red beefsteak tomatoes. Many weigh over 1 lb. Great flavour and a good slicer with few seeds. Plants are highly productive, vigorous and disease resistant. Many of our customers come back for this one each year. According to the story, a farmer who was about to lose his farm because he could not meet the mortgage payments planted a crop of this tomato, which produced so heavily and was so popular that he was able to pay off his mortgage with the proceeds. Late 85 One of the earliest, full-sized tomatoes. Large, 1 lb. fruit is delicious and juicy, well suited to home canning because of its high acidity. Resistant to various tomato diseases, including blossom end to and blight. Long vines. Late. Could be mistaken at first sight for a long, red pepper, rather than a tomato. The 9-11 oz. fruit is very solid and meaty with few seeds. Excellent in sauces or paste and a good slicer for eating fresh. Originally from Poland, Long, indeterminate vines; 85 One of Nina's favourites.

Very meaty. Produces well in cold weather. Indeterminate; 80 A Russian heirloom, named to honour the famous singer and human rights advocate Paul Robeson. Rich, beautiful colour, cola-red beefsteak-type tomato. Wonderful sweet and tangy flavour, overall great tomato which produces well. 80 Early. This small, red cherry tomato with a zippy taste due to high vitamin C content: has a uniquely high level of gamma-amino butyric acid, a body sedative that calms jitters (hence Peacevine.) Produces great yields all season long until first frost. Indeterminate; 75 Good crop of large tomatoes, pink with a purple overcast. Very tasty. Heirloom. Medium vines fare well in northern climates and uncertain sunshine. Indeterminate. Late 80 Purple Calabash has the distinction of being called the ugliest tomato in the world. RED FIG RED CHERRY Grown in American gardens since the 18th century, which makes it old, even for an heirloom.. Very heavy yields of 1.5" pear-shaped tomatoes. Great for fresh eating. Used as a substitute for figs years ago by gardeners who would pack away crates of dried tomatoes for winter use. Indeterminate; 85 Early. A stunning and unique orange-yellow tomato with red, zigzag striping. Mid-size., RED STRIPED ROMAN RED STRIPED PASTE excellent flavour, meaty, good for drying, paste or sauces. RIESENTRAUBE RED CHERRY Mid-season. Rare and remarkable German heirloom meaning "giant bunch of grapes". Unusual as it bears red 1 oz. pear-shaped fruits in large clusters of 20 30. Hundreds per plant. Excellent salad tomato. Prolific plants are large and bushy and require little care. ROCKY RED PASTE Long, narrow, red paste tomatoes on very vigorous vines which will need a good stake. Very productive and tasty. Good in sauce and salad. Indeterminate. 75 Spectacular, smooth, yellow fruits are 2" wide by 4" long. Very meaty with a nice flavour. Recommended for salsa and in sauces.
