German Pink HEIRLOOM One of the tomatoes that originally ignited the HEIRLOOM movement in America, this variety originated in Bavaria. Kanner Hoell HEIRLOOM Reverend C. Frank Morrow of Minnesota. In his donation letter, Reverend Morrow states that the variety originated in Germany & has been in his family since 1916. Red beefsteak fruit 4-5" in diameter, 1½ lbs. Double fruit common. Good flavor, low acid, moderately sweet. Mortgage Lifter HEIRLOOM 1-lb pink fruits have a delicious, rich, sweet taste. This variety has become very popular in recent years & was developed by M.C. Byles of Logan, West Virginia. After crossing varieties for 6 years & selecting the best, he introduced this beauty that he named Mortgage Lifter in the 1940s, after he sold plants for $1 each & paid off the $6000 mortgage on his house Purple Calabash HEIRLOOM One of the most interesting looking & complex tasting tomatoes you can grow. Cinderella pumpkin-shaped tomatoes are about 3 x 1 ½ tall & deeply ribbed. Light green-purple at the shoulders with dark purple at base & dark purple interior. Very complex deep tomato flavors.
