Germany Room 109 Germany was separated by the Berlin Wall for 28 years! Europe is the continent that Germany is found on. Rhine River is a famous river that flows through this country. Many fairy tales were written by the Grimm brothers from Germany. Albert Einstein, Bach, and Beethoven came from Germany. Nein, danke is a polite way to say No, thank you. You may find many beautiful castles and landscapes there. Germany uses the Euro for money. It is smaller and more colorful than American money. Many countries in Europe also use the Euro. When the Berlin Wall was up, Germans weren t allowed to see their families on the other side of the wall. They couldn t even wave! They were very happy when the wall was taken down in 1989. In Germany, it is common for students to go home from school for lunch since it is the main meal of the day. Their breakfast and dinner meals are much smaller.
