The space has redefined Melbourne s summer soirées; solving the paradox of a Victorian country escape with the convenience and charm of a central CBD location. The spectacular open-air location, with unparalleled views of the city skyline and Yarra river, is the perfect venue for remarkable weddings, sophisticated parties, corporate product launches and gala dinners. The urban garden has a NYC al fresco rooftop feel, with all the recognisable landmarks of Melbourne in view including our beloved MCG, the breath-taking landscapes of the Royal Botanical Gardens and the winding Yarra River.

Everything grown at the patch is done organically and with love; much of the produce is used in the events menu. We therefore ask that you show the utmost respect. Venue Access Venue access is permitted 1.5 hours prior to event start time for setup for band/dj, AV equipment and flowers/decorations. Access between the hours of 10:00am and 4:00pm is not permitted unless prearranged with Tommy Collins. Access between these times incur a $250 fee per hour. Parking / Transport The garden is conveniently located on top of the Federation Square multi-story car park, where pre booking is available at http://www.fedsquare.com/parking Train + Tram + Bus are all within a short walking distance Audio visual The Secret Garden has an in house PA system (with ipod connection), audio mixer and complimentary microphone (DJ optional extra). Please advise your event manager if you need wish to use the equipment. Harry The Hirer is the exclusive supplier for the venue, supplying state-of-the-art audio visual equipment at competitive prices. Lighting is provided throughout, by means of feature pendants within and festoon lighting in the garden. Noise restrictions Amplified music may only be played until 12:00am (11:00pm Sunday - Thursday) and last drinks are called 15 minutes prior to the conclusion of your event. Deliveries Deliveries can only take place between the hours of 8:00am-10:00am and 4:00pm-12:00am depending on availability. Unfortunately, we have insufficient storage room at the venue so all equipment must be taken with you on conclusion of the event unless previously arranged. All deliveries must be arranged and facilitated through your event coordinator Security Security must be present for all evening events at a cost of $65.00 per hour per security guard. Cleaning An additional cleaning fee of $250.00 applies to all events. Ceremonies The Secret Garden is available for wedding ceremonies. Additional costs apply. Planter boxes in the space may be moved at an additional cost. Enquire within Styling The Secret Garden includes natural white table linen and napkins for sit-down packages. Flowers and other decorations are not included however can be arranged through our preferred suppliers. Should you wish to use an external supplier please provide details so we can discuss venue procedures and access to your contractor. Please note that set up of styling elements are not the responsibility of Tommy Collins however can be arranged at an additional cost. Entertainment Being a meticulous host, we understand and are passionate about music and its delivery, believing it to be a key ingredient to a successful event. Led by an experienced team of creative industry professionals, our contracted entertainment company possess the knowledge and ability to bring any event to life. Venue hire terms Confirmation and Payment All prices are ex GST. Minimum spends apply to Food & Beverage and venue hire. Prices are current as of April 2016 and subject to change without notice. Prices include waste removal plus a bump in and out period of 1.5-hours prior and 1-hour post event (additional time will incur additional charges). Note: weddings often require a longer bump in and out period and will be charged accordingly. Full terms and conditions will be provided with your event quote. To secure your reservation a 10% (or $5k, whichever is the larger) non-refundable deposit of the expected total event cost is required. In addition to a signed Terms and Conditions agreement. Final food and beverage selections are required at least 14 days prior to your event, as well as full pre-payment. Final numbers are required 7 days prior to the event. Extras We offer a number of optional extras including: food stations, furniture upgrades and bathroom attendant for the duration of your event. Please enquire with your event manager.
