Olea Tumor Basic: Overview Olea Tumor Basic provides the following: Automatic or manual background segmentation. Automatic or manual arterial input function selection. Automatic or manual venous outflow function selection. Deconvolution options. Perfusion maps: TTP-time to peak. MTT- mean transit time. rbf- relative blood flow. TMAX-residual function time to peak. rbv-relative blood volume. rbv corrected-corrected relative blood volume. tmip- temporal maximum intensity projection. K2-Correction for contrast agent leakage to extra-vascular space. through the estimation of a leakage parameter. Ability to obtain measurements and perfusion information on volume of interest. 2
Olea Tumor Basic- Workflow The Steps: Open Vitrea and select patient. Double click on the Olea Sphere icon to launch. In the Olea Application tab: Check the Manual Series identification box if necessary. In the workflow tab: Click on MR Tumor basic. Select the DWI series and the Perfusion series. Select additional series for overlay of images. Segment volume of interest (VOI). Export Results. 3
Olea Tumor Basic-Select Study Launch Vitrea Left mouse click to select the patient. Select the Applications tab. Double left mouse click on Olea Sphere Perfusion. 4
Olea Tumor Basic-Protocol Click on the Applications tab. Check the box for Manual Series identification. Tip: By checking the manual series identification box, it allows the user to pick which series to use. The program will learn and remember based on series descriptors. 5
Olea Tumor Basic-Protocol Click on the Workflows tab. Left click Brain Tumor basic. 6
Olea Tumor Basic- Selecting Series Select the DWI series from the left column and move to the right column by clicking the arrow. After moving the series to the right column, click the check at the bottom of the page. Repeat for the Perfusion Series. Tip: If the series resides in the right column, verify they are correct and click the check mark. 7
Olea Tumor Basic- Overlay Scroll down to conventional to add additional sequences. Check the box next to conventional. Left mouse click in the grey bar next to the desired sequence and click on the like sequence. Click check when finished. 8
Olea Tumor Basic- Perfusion Maps The generated perfusion maps are automatically saved and can be exported. Move the mouse over the maps to make the corner tools active. In Tumor Basic- a corrected rbv and K2 maps are also generated. 9
Olea Tumor Basic- Analysis Tools Key images, Link, Pan/Zoom. Automatic windowing. ROIs, arrows, rulers, Magic Wand, Bi-ruler and the Reference ROI.. Axial, Sagittal and Coronal orientation options. Multiple ROI Templates, export overlays as DICOM. 10
Olea Tumor Basic-Maps and Overlays Click on the drop down arrow above the image to change which map is displayed.. Add a second image to the overlay by clicking on the drop down arrow below the image. Slider bar adjusts the transparency.
Olea Tumor Basic-Volume Segmentation Click on the Volume Segmentation tab. From the Series drop down menu, select the series to use for volumetric measurements. 12
Olea Tumor Basic- VOI Constraints Click on image below the slice with the tumor. Hold the CTRL key down and press the D key. This will exclude images below the tumor when calculating volumes of interest. Click on image above the slice with tumor. Hold the CTRL key down and press the U key. This will exclude images above the tumor when calculating volumes of interest. 13
Olea Tumor Basic- Additional VOI Constraint Additional freehand or elliptical VOI constraints can be added to better define the area of interest. Tip: Change display options to make images bigger or use the shift key and middle mouse to magnify images. 14
Olea Tumor Basic- Volume of Interest Use the Magic Wand to automatically grow in area of interest. Click on the Magic Wand.. Hold the left mouse down over the area of the tumor to grow the volume. If needed, scroll the middle mouse before to step forward or backward in the segmentation. When finished, press the ENTER KEY on the keyboard. Click on the check to validate the results. Tip: By clicking on the color wheel, you can change the color of the VOI. Next to the color wheel, you can also rename the VOI. 15
Olea Tumor Basic- Volume of Interest For manual volume measurements, click on add lasso and with the left mouse, hold down and draw. **must begin drawing and end in the box** When finished, press the ENTER KEY on the keyboard. Click on the check to validate results. 16

Olea Tumor Basic- Volume of Interest Under Management tab: Click on volume of interest to display volumetric measurements. These are automatically saved and can be exported. 18
Olea Tumor Basic- VOI (additional information) From the dropdown menu, choose which map to display. Under the Management tab: highlight VOI, then click on the middle icon above it to add to the current VOI. Click on the check under validation. This will display the VOI on the new series with the correlating measurements in the management tab. This is saved and can be exported. 19
Olea Tumor Basic- Export Click on Olea Sphere globe to bring up the menu. Click on Export to open the export page. 20
Olea Tumor Basic- Export Options To export all numerical values, check the Sum up Array. To export images with ROI s and measurements, check the Key image box. To export series and/or maps: click on the desired series to export. When finished check Save. Tip: click on the eye to view what will be exported. 21

Olea Tumor Basic- MPR/3D Click on MPR/3D to view data in MPR views and 3D. Place a check next to which series to display. Can add VOI to MPR/3D by choosing from the drop down menu. Can save a rotation of the 3D image or take a single image that will automatically be saved to Vitrea. Tip: To rotate the 3D image, hold the shift key and move left mouse. 23
