When completing your gluten free order form please state both the product name and the PIP code. Oats: ¹Coeliac UK recommend that patients who are newly diagnosed with coeliac disease avoid oats for the first 6-12 months until you achieve a baseline of wellness as a small number of people with coeliac disease may be sensitive to oats. After this time you can re-introduce pure gluten free oats (i.e. oats that have not been milled alongside barley, wheat or rye). Visit www.coeliac.org.uk or speak to your dietitian for more information. Gluten free food scheme: The new Gluten free food scheme for Scotland allows anyone with coeliac disease or dermatitis herpeteformis to register with their community pharmacist to allow ordering of your gluten free prescription directly through your local pharmacy instead of the GP surgery. For more information and to check whether you are eligible, please visit: www.nhsinform.co.uk/gffseligibility or the NHS Dumfries & Galloway patient website:

http://www.nhsdg.scot.nhs.uk/departments_and_services/pharmacy/the_scottish_ Gluten-free_Food_Service. Please speak to your pharmacist, dietitian or GP if you have any queries about your gluten free prescription.
