As an co-packer of drinks, we have a long history of filling coffee. Since the beginning of early 2005 we create the first coffee concepts in cans. We realised a autoclave to sterilize the dairy products. After the iced coffee concepts a lot of other diary and coffee variations followed. In 2017 we realised a third autoclave which realised a capacity of 35.000 cans per hour. Whith this capacity we can responding to the growing trend of coffee variations like cold brew, iced coffee, energy coffee, cocktails and mocktails with coffee flavours. We are looking forward to welcome you at our plant in the Netherlands. According to the Statista Consumer Market Outlook, 2016, growth in North American and European coffee spending is set to outpace any increase in consumption over the next few years. The CAGR (compound annual growth rate) of spending from 2015 to 2020 is forecast see positive growth of three percent while consumption is predicted to stall at one percent. THE SCIENCE OF SMOOTH Standard Hot Coffee versus Cold Brew Coffee As any caffeine addict knows, a regular cup of coffee starts with hot water (between 90 and 96 degrees Celsius) and coffee grounds. The water dissolves oils, acids, and other compounds out of the grounds, giving coffee its familiar acidity and eye-opening aroma. The hot water also degrades acids, creating coffee s bitter notes. The absence of hot water means that the oils, acids, and other compounds dissolve much more slowly. The acids also aren t degraded, making for a much smoother beverage, free of bitterness. The autoclave is used to put counter-pressure on cans (similar to a pressure cooker). This allows us to reach higher temperatures as well as to pasteurize products with high carbon dioxide content (such as Weizenbier and beverages that contain cola). The autoclave is designed in such a way that it only opens after the entire temperature cycle has completed correctly. Thus, it can never over-pasteurize or under-pasteurize (or under/over-sterilize). This makes it a unique machine that uses a unique process.
