Our Favourites
CHRIS General Manager & Director Tobia Reserva Blanco, 2013 A bodega proud of its local varieties - Viura, Tempranillo Blanco and Malvasia represented here. Careful oak ageing adds texture and body. Tropical fruit at the front of the palate, finishing dry and crisp with a citrus freshness. Santenay Premier Cru Clos Rousseau, Charleux, 2012 From the southern half of the Côte de Beaune - earthy dark berry fruit, spice and plum aromas. Ripe and refined on the palate. Lovely stuff! LEE Head Chef & Director Pouilly Fumé Premier Millésime, Bouchié-Chatelier, 2014 From the very best site of Pouilly Fumé bursting with grassy notes, minerals and white flowers. Delicious feel on the palate. White meat, fish and goats cheese to partner. San Felice Chianti Classico, 2014 An estate dedicated to showcasing grapes local to the region - Sangiovese dominates with Colorino and Pugnitello in support. Elegant with cherry fruit and light tannins. Versatile - try across a range of dishes. NICK Our Wine Merchant - Winearray of Boroughbridge Naiades, Rueda, 2012 Very old vine (more than 100 years old) from the high plateau of Rueda, 170 km NW of Lisbon. Fine and rich and perfect with smoked fish, white meats and creamy cheeses. Gigondas Les Mourres, Notre Dame des Pallières, 2013 From a single vineyard perched high on the slopes above the Southern Rhône village of Gigondas, Les Mourres is a blend of Grenache, Carignan and Mourvedre. It's a real beauty - best to pair with the more flavoursome dishes from the menu.
