Tours and workshops at Gesher Heart-stirring meeting with Amos the boy who walked barefoot during the nighttime evacuation of children in 1948. With the establishment of the state of Israel, one of the fiercest battles in the campaign takes place at Gesher. Thousands of soldiers of the Arab armies attack the small kibbutz, which then constituted a "gateway" into Israel. The Jewish fighters at Gesher did not despair, despite having to wage an inconceivable battle of multitudes against only a few. They succeeded in the task of defending the settlement and the border. During the difficult battle, some 50 small children were evacuated. Amos, then a six year old, was one of them. Meet him, and hear his experience of that same night. Price NIS 350 net.
