Organic dairy ads decreased 56 percent. Conventional ice cream in 48-64 ounce containers remains the most advertised dairy item. Ad numbers increased 12 percent. The weighted average advertised price, $3.11, increased 5 cents. The U.S. average conventional one pound butter price is $3.79, 31 cents higher than a week ago. The number of butter ads is 52 percent lower than last week. There are no organic butter ads this week. The national weighted average advertised conventional milk price for half gallons is $1.71, while organic half gallon milk averaged $3.39. The organic price premium is $1.68. Conventional milk ad numbers decreased 10 percent while organic milk ad numbers decreased 42 percent. Even total conventional dairy ad numbers being over 25 times the number of total organic dairy ads, there are more ads for organic milk half gallons than conventional milk half gallons. Conventional cheese ad numbers declined 14 percent. There are no ads for organic cheese. The weighted average price of conventional 8 ounce block cheese is $2.23, even last week. The weighted average price of conventional 8 ounce shred cheese is $2.32, up 6 cents from last week. Total conventional and organic Greek yogurt ads decreased by 16 and 45 percent, respectively. The weighted average advertised price for organic Greek yogurt in 4-6 ounce containers is.99 cents, while conventional yogurt in 4-6 ounce containers averaged 93 cents, representing an organic premium of 6 cents.
