Registration Period: Thursday, June 28 through Wednesday, July 25 Entry Drop-off Period: Friday, June 29 through Thursday, July 26 Judging: Saturday, August 4 (closed to public) Winners Announced: Friday, August 10 at the Jeffco Fair & Festival (time and specific location to be released later as well details on this revamped awards ceremony.) 1. Prizes will be awarded in each judging category. There will also be a Best of Show award. If you cannot attend the winner s announcement, prizes and score sheets will be mailed/emailed to you. 2. 1 st thru 3 rd place in each judging category will receive official American Homebrewer s Association medallions as well as having information about the winning brews displayed during the Jeffco Fair & Festival. Additional prizes may be awarded courtesy of our local sponsors. 3. Only Jefferson County residents are eligible for the Best of Show award. 4. The Best of Show prize is sponsored by the great folks at Mountain Toad Brewing. The Best of Show winner will have the opportunity to brew his or her winning recipe at Mountain Toad Brewing in Golden, CO and will earn epic bragging rights. It may even be entered into the 2019 GABF Pro-Am! 5. Please note the winning recipe may need to be altered/tweaked to adapt it to the Mountain Toad Brewing system (and based on ingredient availability). 6. Winners will be announced on August 10 at the Jeffco Fair & Festival. Details will be made available later with specific time and location. Admission to the Jeffco Fair & Festival is included in all Homebrewing Competition entries for all event days of the 2018 Jeffco Fair & Festival. Homebrewing Competition participants will be issued one (1) 3-day ticket. Tickets will be distributed electronically to the email provided during online registration. Tickets exclude admission to separately ticketed events/activities separately priced and permit the participant general admission entry. 1. A non-refundable fee of $5 per entry is due upon registration. 3. Entry Limit: Competition will be limited to the first 125 registered entries 4. All Jeffco Fair & Festival Homebrew Competition entries must be homebrewed beer. No cider or mead will be judged. 5. The competition will use the Beer Judge Certification Program 2015 Style Guidelines and will accept entries into the categories listed below in this document. 6. Judging categories may be adjusted based on numbers and types of entries. 7. Entrants must be 21 years of age or older. 8. All entrants must be Colorado residents. Only Jefferson County residents are eligible for the Best of Show award. All entries will receive full score sheets and judge feedback. 9. Entrants are allowed one (1) entry per sub-category; there is no maximum number of entries allowed. 10. For each entry, submit three (3) 10-14-oz bottles with a bottle ID form (printed from the registration site after you register) attached to each bottle with rubber bands (please do not tape or glue forms on to the bottles). a. Flip tops and 22-oz bottles are not acceptable. b. Bottles must be free of ink, paint or paper labeling other than the competition entry label. c. Bottle caps must be neutral i.e. no lettering or graphics (if there are designs or writing on caps, please black them out with a marker). 11.
